As a new Mystic/Mage what can I start doing in the world?

Hiya, My skills aren't GMd yet they are like 80+ magery and 70+ mystic. So as opposed to me just sitting around casting spells over and over again is ther a place that I can go to and farm some items and or gold while I raise my spells? Chomping at the bit so to speak lol. Wanna kill some monsters that arent to easy and drop some descent gold or items lol. Thanks

try going to shame and killing the first level stuff there, they drop decent items.

Shame would be a great place to do some hunting with a chance for some decent loot drops. Look around on your shard for an earth elemental slayer spellbook if you are able to hold one. I would recommend using blade spirits as a decoy/tank while you blast them with spells.

Depending on the shard you choose the slayer spellbook may be easy or hard to find on a vendor so be sure to use chat if you can't find one.

Cast spells like crazy while you hunt. I used to cast blade strike and invis if I was in over my head. It's nice when you can be confident in casting sixth circle spells as you work your way up. Make sure your stats manager has arrows up allowing for int gains and what ever you want for str and dex. But really Cast spells like there is no tomorrow. Don't sweat dying at all. Watch your weight. You may get close to being heavy and have curse cast on you freezing you in place for certain death. If you have a mind to it drop your gold on the ground. Most uo players wont pick it up. Some critters will loot your corpse. I cant recall ever seeing a critter loot the ground.
Get rich or trying cuz.
Try to lure spawn away from areas that are to busy for you and work the edges.

Solen hives is also a nice place.
And while doing it, you can collect tons of sending bags from the ambitions solen queen and sell them for a nice profit as well!
