Armageddon and the Shadowlords

If I ever find the time to camp for these foul things I have some questions. I understand that casting the Armageddon spell while holding blackrock is necessary in order to do any damage. Does one still need to be a grandmaster mage in order to pull this off? Will I be haunted by voices and the occasional blackrock infected createrure if I do? Do I risk blowing my own body to bits casting this spell?

I hope my fellow Catskillians will be more helpful than I think the folks in UHall would be. I almost posted this on the players corner forum....

Happy Trails

*grins because he finally gets a chance to shine*

For the current event, anyone can use the spell.

First, you'll need to have the blackrock piece on you (use small piece. Its cheapest and easiest to get). Then you say the words of power.

Vas Kal An Mani In Corp Hur Tym.

Now comes the fun part...You have to beat the spammers to get the spell cast first. People will spam the spell for minutes, just for the cloak. And unfortunatly, only one person can use blackrock on the Shadowlord Manifestation, unlike the moonglow event where as many people could.

However, the good news.

You CANNOT become infected by doing this. Unless you are like me and attempt to blow Luna up at least twenty times a week with the stuff. But to my knowledge, blackrock infection has been terminated to a point for now.
Voices are no longer heard, and upon login recently, my character recieved a message that went something like this...

"The voices that have plagued you for so long have vanished...Something is wrong" Along those lines really.

So, to wrap this all up...

-Need to be gm mage or gm necro? No
-Risk getting yourself blown up? Only if you let the Shadowlord beat on you. Not advisable by the way ;)
-Risk getting infected? Nope, at least im 99.9 %sure you cant be... Its that
.01% im worried about...

Hope this helps!

P.S. And if you see a black clad man with purple hair running around chanting the spell while throwing blackrock around...Id run for cover.

True enough, if you are a gm mage or necro and have blackrock on the ground next to you, there is a chance of either damage or death. But only if you have the skills.

Anyone can use it on shadowlord (if you are the first one) with no chance of blowing yourself up. Otherwise we'd see alot of dead spammers. *grin*

Does anyone know if having more than one piece of black rock in your pack determines if the spell will go off or not? I have notice that even when I'm the first one at the spawn site and I cast the spell, it does not work. I've checked my macro for the spell and I am standing next to the shadowlord manifistation when I cast the spell. But I upon cleaning out my bag I noticed I had 3 black rock pieces in my pack (from farming the arties).

Someone probably had cast it first.

Also, I found out why Va'lis loves blackrock haha I was the first one to get it off at the spawn and i got myself a robe it was nice.
