This is a widespread problem, you're not alone. I did some digging, and found an answer. Here's my initial post:
Am I bugged or am I just missing something?
I've had a full Knight's set (all 70 resists) from the spring clean up points for months now, and never had any issue. All of a sudden, I logged in today and my physical resistance was at 42 (all others were at 70, per normal). I tried taking various pieces off and on, and the numbers were entirely wonky and not in line with what I'm taking off. So I strip. All of my resistances are at a base of 30, completely naked, due to the fact that I have 85.2 resist spells. HOWEVER, adding on extra gear never raises my physical resist above 42. Wth is going on?
Some things that I have verified/tested:
1. I do not have magic reflection, nor any other buff on (I always have my buff arm/window thing up). To be certain, I've cast each of the three spells 2x, adding and removing them. I should note that Reactive Armor did not appear to change my resists in any way; I don't know if that's normal given the 30 "natural" resists that I should have due to resist spells. Otherwise, no change.
2. I have died (and lost Glorious Lady, QQ). No change.
3. When I put on various pieces of armor (knights or otherwise), my resists do not change until the pieces I have put on raise each particular resistance above 30. Physical resistance seems to begin to rise when I reach 59 phys resist in items.
4. I've crossed server lines, logged into a different account, etc etc etc.. tried many different possible solutions, nothing seems to help.
Any ideas?
