Are Vollems transferable?

I am having a hard time getting a definate answer on this. When you use the Vollem in a Crystal, and claim your bonded pet... can you transfer it to another character if you want to?

I have heard some people say that you can because if you single click on it it will gove you the transfer option, but there are others saying that when you actually try to transfer them it does not work.

Has anybody successfully transfered a live Vollem from one char to another?

All I know is what I been told, and that was not to transfer as you will lose it. I hope we can get a firm answer on this as I like to be able transfer the Vollem, but if its like the Crystal Dog, then that is going to be bad news.

Nope they are not transferable. I found this out when i claimed mine on my Tinker, thinking it was like the crafterble ones. Then when i tried to trade it over to my Tamer using another of my accounts on another puter it went into the trade window ok but upon hitting the ok tick it went 'poof'.

Not a happy camper. GM's wouldn't do anything either apart from sending out the canned 'cant replace lost items' rubish.

I would also like clarification. I ve heard people trading them. Maybe poof is a new bug? Either way if it does tranfer will it bond with the new owner?

YES U CAN TRANSFER TO ANOTHER CHAR / ACCOUNT.
I have done it several times as I bought many vollems for my chars and transfered soem to friends also so the answer is yes , you can transfer.

It sounds to me like it is intended that you can transfer them, but that there may be a bug where a few people may have lost theirs, and now most are afraid to try. Any way we can get a Dev to chime in here?

There are some that are tamable in the Abyss and Underworld... Those once tamed are transferable to other players. But the ones you get from the token are special and you can not transfer them.

<nods> the transfer process essentially releases the pet from the original owner in order to attach to the new owner. releasing the token vollem WILL cause it to go >poof< - thus it will poof when transferring.

As far as I know :

The BONDED vollems, should be tradeable, but they will revert to non-bonded.

The CRAFTABLE vollems, should also be tradeable, but will not be bondable as you cannot feed them.

Basically they are like Golems, tinker craftables. Except the ones from the tokens are bonded.

To be able to make the special assembly for them (and the scorpion and leather wolf) you need to read the book you get from doing Sutek's quest in the Abyss.

Perhaps if you can feed and un-bonded vollem from a token it may re-bond? (I vaguely recall someone saying you could feed them? But I may have imagined that...)

Yes, I thought i explained it simply enough too. Guess some people wont believe anything till a Dev. says it.
Yet even when they say it, there only about 60% sure

Slayvite, its not that I dont believe you at all. Its the fact that others have claimed that that can be, and that they have infact traded these to other chars. Its also the fact that they do have a transfer option if you single click them. All this leads me to believe that they should be transferable, but that there is a bug. I have no doubt that yours went poof. However, I would still like confirmation from a dev that this is either a bug, or that it is intended to be this way. Just because it happened to you does NOT mean it will happen to everybody, and it does NOT mean that it is intended. Is it so wrong to want confirmation one way or another from a dev seeing as how we are getting conflicting reports from players?

I successfully transferred two Vollems.

The first owner was a tamer though... that might be important.

I transferred them from my tamer to a mage on my other account. I fed them and put them in the stable. A week later I got them out of the stable and fed them. They bonded.

It may have worked because my original owner was a tamer.

You should have lored them.

they most assuredly do NOT suck.

They are effectively non-ridable Nightmares ownable by non-tamers, Identical stats right down to the loot on the corpses of the SA gift ones the first time they die.

Rai-ju do energy damage, which are the lowest resists of the Nightmare (and the Vollem).

I tke 2 out with my melee T-hunter, doing level 1-3 T-maps. The only thing that doesn't almost instantly die are the Ogre Lords (and I have to tank against it, to keep the vollems from dying, simply because OLs hit HARD, and the magery/eval of mares and vollems start at atrociously low levels).

From what I know they aren't transferable, I wish they would put them on the Legacy Tokens so you can Buy them. I need 2 more at least.

Vollems are transferable I have 2 that I have bought and bonded, and there is none in the game you can tame, although tinkers can make unbondable ones (they cant eat). Lots of ppl spreading second hand info but there was a bug with some vollems in september when they were released and they went poof.

Meat, I get mine from skinned corpses and I always stable pets before server down or log out.

Well how do you feed it, is the problem. If you can't feed it don't know how it will bond.

I fed it meat.

People are getting confused. There are 2 types of Vollems, one from a Crysta that bonds instantly and can be traded and rebonded and one can be made by tinkerers and can't bond but should be able to be traded. Not sure what all the confusion here is about.

Pets not stabled when a server goes down REMAIN in game (don't auto-log with the owner), and WILL be lost if the player doesn't come back quickly after server-down, recover them from where they may have wandered to, and stable them. On rare occasions, people will even be popped off mounts, and lose them that way.

That's why they give the "2-minute warning" to get to a friended house, inn or other insta-log area to get out, before the backup finishes.

well like i said, i re-confirmed what you were saying so don't get your panties in a bunch. alot of people have been scared to transfer the vollems around because some people have had a glitch where the pet disapears.

we got lucky. if anything you would want all the positive confirmation on this that you can get.
