Are there any bugs I should know about when using a CBD on a Crimson Crimson Cincture

Just got my first Crimson Cincture at Mel tonight and was wondering are there any bugs/glitchs concerning Clothing Bless Deeds when using one on a Crimmy? I dont want to bless it and end up losing it somehow.

None that I am aware of... been blessing and wearing them for a long time now without any problems.

Yes there is without doubt a bug involving the Crimson Cinture and a clothing bless deed and I know this from first hand experience.

I lost one Crimson and almost lost a second.

I posted about it maybe 9 months ago and at first I thought I was crazy or did something terribly stupid.

What the bug is or why it happens I don't know. To my knowledge it has to yet acknowledged or addressed by the current Dev team. But neither has honor not working in UOKR for the past 6 months.

I lost one Crimson Cinture and on the next one being overly paranoid I constantly looked at on my paperdoll. What happened was...when I first used the CDB on the Crimson Cinture the item appeared and was marked blessed. Low and behold a few hours later the very same Crimson was no longer blessed. I paged a GM and they fixed it without hesitation.

From my experience 90% of the time there are no problems with the CBD and the Crimson. You really have no choice if you want to put it to use. You have to use a CBD on it and chances are everything will be just fine. I have 12 characters with CC's that have no problems so I believe it to be an extremely rare occurence and maybe it's hard to duplicate which is why the Dev team can't address the issue.

I certaintly wouldn't advise against using a CBD on one that's for sure. Just keep a very close eye on it in the beginning and make sure it retains the 'blessed' status.

I had a problem too some years ago.

Completely beside myself with joy for finding one, I forgot to turn off the insurance before using the Cloth Bless Deed on it. So I had a blessed insured one, great! Not knowing that it could be wrong, I now un-insured the pinafore - for getting a unblessed uninsured one, super-great!

I called a GM, he actually appeared and fixed the problem.

If you get stuck putting insurance on an item you use a clothing bless deed on you cannot remove it via the insure item toggle. You can however stash your valuable items (in your bank or house) turn auto renew insurance off, die and it will be back to blessed without the insurance.

Did you buy the cbd? I got mine from the bod rewards used it on my crim never had probs.

A friend bought his cbd blessed his crim and lost it within a week. Before he lost it, it had dropped to his corps twice.

Wild theory, duped cbd could be the culprit.

Just a wild theory not a fact.

These could also be signs of the long-standing insurance bug. It does hit blessed items too!
