I could tell you but then I would have to kill you...or are they from the turkeys themselves
like in their corpse
Turkey and Turkey Egg here also. Also not all butchers take the birds for the reward. I was instructed to use the one close to Vesper Bank and that one worked for me.I've got one from a turkey and one from destroying a giant turkey egg.
That's the one I used also.I use the one near WBB
feathers seems to be commonOh sorry, yes I think I got some gold. Was hoping for something besides that though.
do you solo them with your disco'er,and if so what are your tactics.I know it is better with a group but I have no friends to play with.Gotcha, I'll try to fit in a few birds on saturday and see if I can't get something. I have a disco'er but no provoker so I am at least semi-useful. And I can always mindblast till my mana runs out then start up over again.![]()
I've only done one turkey, it was one I jumped in on when two others were shooting it full of arrows. It took forever with the three of us, though I was definitely the lame leg so no complaining there. There's no way I could solo one of these turkeys.do you solo them with your disco'er,and if so what are your tactics.I know it is better with a group but I have no friends to play with.Gotcha, I'll try to fit in a few birds on saturday and see if I can't get something. actually I was in a big guild that all of sudden broke up overnight over a stupid little mis-understanding and I haven't had the heart to join another guild just to have my "heart" broken again .(LMAO sounds just like my relationshipds hehe)

Yah last night I realized that with their 12 barding difficulty I could provoke them even without provocation, since my disco tamer is a human. Yay!I've only done one turkey, it was one I jumped in on when two others were shooting it full of arrows. Pro tip: These do not have to be disco'd to be provoked. It just takes more tries. I solo them on a provo spellweaving mage. Try to keep them even, then Word of Death for the double win
Oh, and don't be a newb: Keep your distance and you won't get turkey jerked. Or whatever that is that does 40 to 60 damage to you if you get too close! I cast chain lightening, or ebolt if one is losing to the other. Stay as far away as your spell will fire.
I never understood why Buffalo Bill didn't just use a lotion hose..it plucks the feathers from its skin...
and then it starts to cook again...
The application would require too much effort.I never understood why Buffalo Bill didn't just use a lotion hose..![]()
They tweaked the birds a couple of times since the event started. Now they are very easy for bards due to what I'm guess was a typo (barding difficulty is 12 - that's right 12.0 - instead of the 160 they started out as). The hubby and I have been doing groups of 5 or 6 using the same tactic as you, plus discoing and casting spells on the targeted turkey. Have done probably 65 or 70 turkeys since the event started. Just got our second plucked turkey to turn in for a Harvest blade. The seem to be extremely rare. Both were on turkey corpses. They don't seem to have any timer on them that is apparent so I'd guess they can be kept as deco, but who knows.I was expecting these to be very challenging from all that I read in these posts, but it wasn't too bad with my provoker (he has around 96 provoking and no discord). The trick is to find a spot (Moonglow seems to be great) that has many turkeys so you can get a nice big party going with at least 5 or 6, then provoke 1 turkey on all the others so it goes down quick, then another and so forth (versus having different turkeys in different battles). By the time the first one goes down (takes about 5-10 min) another will have spawned somewhere near by and you can just keep the chain going. And like has been often mentioned, stay far away. Preferrably so you can just and just see them on the side of the playing area.
The only bit of loot that really interests me is the plucked turkey for decorational purposes, but despite felling around 40 of these suckers so far, no such luck. I did get 1 nest and 1 stuffing, which were nice, but that the elusive plucked turkey refuses to turn up.
But darnit, I'll keep at it till it happens! The big question is: Can the plucked turkeys be used as decorations or do they have a timer if not used for this butcher quest?
Ohhh hold on now... you say on turkey corpses? So you mean one would need to click the corpse open to get one (versus having it fall into your backpack automatico). Because with this chain provocation thing going I've often left the turkeys unlooted as not to get myself killed and just let the maps and stuff appear in my backpack... Doh!Both were on turkey corpses.
I think she meant both came from killing turkeys (as opposed to breaking eggs). I've killed quite a few turkeys and never had any of the holiday drops show up on the corpse. They always pop immediately into my pack. The same goes for the plucked bird from the nest. I got it after accidentally hatching a turkey and it popped into my pack.Ohhh hold on now... you say on turkey corpses? Actually, the first one I found was on the corpse and I had to loot it. I'll have to check with the husband to see if his popped in his backpack or not since it's very possible they changed it. I know cornucopias have been popping straight to the backpack, but the first plucked turkey I got was on the first day the event went live and it was most definitely on the corpse.I think she meant both came from killing turkeys (as opposed to breaking eggs). Checked with the hubby. The second was also on the corpse and had to be looted. Did not drop in the backpack like the cornucopias and maps did.Ohhh hold on now... you say on turkey corpses? Argh! Well thanks for checking and telling about this more. Guess it's back to ye olde drawing board for me then hehe!Checked with the hubby. The second was also on the corpse and had to be looted. Did not drop in the backpack like the cornucopias and maps did.

Plucked chickens are from the underworld puzzle room. Looks exactly like the plucked turkeys. But the Butcher only accepts the turkey (I triedPlucked chickens= plucked turkeys? Same turn-in reward?
Confused...not uncommon![]()
