PLEASE POST ANY OTHER THINGS YOU CAN THINK OF THAT ARE ILLEGAL BUT CAN BE FIXED RELATIVELY SIMPLY, TRY TO KEEP DESCRIPTION OF SITUATION AND HOW TO FIX IT TO A MINIMAL, if the devs do read this SIMPLE IS BETTER for them!

Problem 1: being able to guardwhack champions from T2A spawns. (from previous thread)

Fix 1: Make champions respawn to alter if lured to far or into guardzones.

(my idea)
Problem 2: Address the abilty to target someone with a bola, remount a pet to chase target, then dismount before the timer that checks if you're mounted or not so you hit them 100% of the time, espically if you're speedhacking!

Fix 2: Mounting any mount cancels entire bola process. seems simple enough in my mind.

Bad words racial or other wise should be auto cencored by the server.

Also when installing the game have the terms of service pop up and have atimer to allow players to read it and answer 3 randaom questions about it before allowing it to proceed.For new installs only!

Bad words can be filtered out, and i dont think its TOO much of EA to ask that if you want those words filtered out from your online experience that you should simple fill in the filter itself with all curse words and others that may be offensive because its all personal opinion, language does not affect others or is even interperated the same way to all people, its to subjective. Plus do you REALLy want more processing time for the UO servers?

Just like WoW there should be a censor active and running from install. Then you can disable it, by disabling you consent to hear "Adult Language" and a GM will tell you to stfu if you page about such things because you consented.

Hmm not sure what anyone thinks but here goes

Problem: Luring monsters onto other players in order to kill them for various reasons (yes we all know people like to do it to scripters, but it happens alot to others and it is illegal)

Solution: Monsters should auto lock onto their target (ie the person who is luring them) and if the target disappears or gets too far away (ie invis) then the monster should automatically return to its original location without going after any other people on the way (meaning it will run back to its place, and then become aggressive again)

thats a good idea. spawn should return to where it started at before reagroing someone.

that works too, but there is always the good ol' ignore feature.
really tho a name??, grow up and find something worthwhile to fight against.

this game use to be rated 18+ and then we olnly had to worry about the occasional person who let there kids watch them play and saw 'naughty' words.

Oh no the world is ending... my kid read some 'naughty' word online, but don't think nothing about the words and more they will learn in school and socialising with other people. and don't let them onto the internet at all because there are porn/sex advertisments EVERYWHERE.. we must shield our youth from all of this so they grow up mindless people :p

your fighting the world and just plain life.
your 'protection' from stuff that offends YOU only last's so long. and usually makes the opposite results intended.

You silly person, we can't have our kids realizing the real world is difficult! We need to shelter them until they grow up, that way they're taken at total unawares and have no clue what to do when they get there!!!!

Not sure if this is the type of thing we are talking about but:


'Thou Shalt Not Flee In The Heat Of The Battle'

Hands down the most annoying thing about the game. You have a dual, then the person you've been fighting cannot rez you (bene) and your unable to use the gate to get to a healer or shrine.

Surely when your dead, the timer could be dropped to let you actually get on with things. Instead your forced to sit around staring at a grey screen for minutes or take a chance on what could be a 10 minute healer run.

I think I speak for more people than just myself when I say, please fix this.

Blue Healers ressurect only blue players. Red healers ressurect anyone.
Plus, Blue healers outnumber red healers in felucca about 10:1.

Solution: Make either more red healers, make healers in towns red healers, or something to allow passage to chaos shrine from major towns (even if only via dead red players)

If you are a solo red on a shard, especially since Mag gate is no longer able (about the only consistant place to find a red healer) it's a 10 minute run to find a healer sometimes. Its not fair that as a blue, you can run into a million blue healers, go to ish shrines, run to intown healers, etc without any trouble.

I agree 100% I ran all the way back and forth across the screen from Del pass to Destard NO RED healer. I think there was like 50 blue healers though. However dont hold your breath I went to 4 town halls last year and brought that up at every one of them and NOTTA !

Or you could... I don't know... turn on the Filter Obscenity option that is currently in User Settings?

YES this is a very big annoince espically for solo red factioners on siege. its damn hard to find a red healer anywhere, but the YELLOW healers at luna don't rez reds only blues, i just think for a shard thats supposed to be vets and about PVP its lame to have ANY healers near major battle points.

I think the complaint is that people should be doing this, but instead they're using bad words as an excuse to pretend to be offended so they can get their enemies banned.

Gaining skills from "trapped" pets.

Either in your house or on a boat I believe this is illegal. I've used this plenty in the past (training bard skills) before i realised that just because the game allows you to do it, its not necessarily legal. If I'd have been caught and banned for that I would have been livid.

That said, i still think that there is no reason why this shouldn't be legal anyway. Why wouldnt a bard "in real life" trap an animal to practice provoking it onto another?

I think there are lots of people who are using scripts and don't know they shouldn't. Seriously. I think friends say 'Hey try UO. They do, and other friends/players say 'Do this to raise a skill'. So to curb scripting...

These would only effect players that were at 100% health.
Once every 3 hours of constant gameplay, teleport the player to a random situation.
When they complete a simple task the are teleported back to their previous position.

1) The 3 apple cannons. Instruct the player to click on the cannon that will shoot the Dev. When they complete this task they receive 'The head of Draconi'.

2) The changing maze. Instruct the player to solve the maze. When they complete this task they receive 'An amazing cloak of agility'.

3) Sedimar's witt. Sedimar asks the player single word answer questions until they get 3 right. When they complete this task they receive 'A dragons breath potion'.

4) The cook's assistant. The NPC chef instructs the player to search the crates for 4 specific ingredients and place them in their backpack. When completed they recieve a bag of 10 chocolate ingredients.

Blue healers heal just blues

then have the yellow town healers heal everyone. It would be fair for everyone, would not stack on res killing because there are a lot of towns you could choose.. and it wouldnt be impossible to find a res.

[/ QUOTE ]That would be good, as long as the monster doesn't turn back immediately (e-bolt, invis, repeat against a melee monster = even easier kill than before), and as long as if somebody else attacks them while they are returning they retaliate instead of continuing to walk back (and there may be some other situations that could be abused here too... but it sounds good in theory)
