Anyone tried turning in the current snake skins/Ophidian Rations for spring cleaning?

Hi all,
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but the soldier at Britain sitting by the collections box tells me "I'm not looking for one of those" when I try to drop my Ophidian Rations or slippery snake skins on him (looted from the current monsters, not the event monsters). Has anyone else tried to donate these *new* spawning Ophid rations/skins? Successfully?

You giving it to the wrong person. Say "Info" to know what he wants. The guy who wants the Skins and food rations is on the other side (other guard tower) of the guy with the collection box.



His Name is Calaid the soldier.


And yes new skins and ration can be turned in.
