anyone train a iron beetle on a shadow elemental yet?

i was doing it and noticed something..... odd.

was just wondering if i was the only one that noticed it.

ill post what it was in a bit, i just wanna see if im crazy or if someone else had the same thing happen.

I can imagine something that will get nerfed, they probably spit out shadow ore while fighting them. That would be my guess.

I had a fresh iron beetle on an ele for about 2 hours last night to try and see if anything happened. Nada. So I'm very curious as to what happened, too.

You did get me to get off my butt and get a new iron beetle for my smith that doesn't need taming. That is always a plus.

mine chipped away ore off the SE and stacked it at his feet.

i didnt notice it at first.
and once i did i pulleda fair pile out.
one at a time mind you.

its suprised me.

also, kinda interesting, the SE switched over to the iron beetle and stayed on him, even though the other pets there had been on the SE before him for a long time.

and whats this that you dont train your pets for your mule???@!!!???!?!?!?!

my mule on my home shard has his pack beetle, fire beetle and now his iron beetle all fully trained.

that way he can clear out spawn that may pester him.
and suprise the odd red that may pester him too!

Wow am I good at guessing or what lol. Idk how I knew that they spit out ore but I guess I just knew. Sounds like I need to go get one for my miner .

My miner has trained pack horses. I'd been putting off the iron beetle because I knew I needed to go get a new one.

Were you ele training in a cave? I was on grass well away from any mountain. I know the little iron beetle buggers will dig up ore no matter what they are doing. This one I just tamed was digging it up while fighting off a couple spiders right after I tamed it.

I wonder how long it'll be till people start getting banned for AFK mining because they went to the bathroom with their beetles out.
