Anyone remember Lord British's "permanent" exit? When he left to take some artifact to the Ethereal Void and guard it against Minax?

Anyone remember what that artifact was?

Pretty sure it was a collection of shards of the Gem of Immortality.. might be wrong tho.

Isn't Minax dead now?

[/ QUOTE ]

No.

Do Travesty and you will see correspondence between Travesty and Minax, and orders from the latter to the former.

That'd be weird if that was right, because our characters basically live on a shard of the Gem of Immortality....

Well yeah, but if they weren't somewhere protected like the void someone could smash em and ruin our shards. :p

Besides, since when has multidimensional physics made any sense?

I think I mean the second, and it looks like you were right, judging by this article.

[/ QUOTE ]Two words: Infinite recursion.

As the Gem of Immortality existed inside our shard of the Gem of Immortality, it can be presumed at the shattering of the Gem of Immortality, Ultima Prime was duplicated within each shard of the Gem of Immortality. Inside each shard was a Gem of Immortality that had shattered. Inside each of those shards was a Gem of Immortality that had been shattered. Inside each of those shards was a Gem of Immortailty that had been shattered. Inside each... et cetera ad nauseum.

So the real question is: Did the Lord Britishes that gathered the shards of the Gem of Immortality gather the shards that existed within a shard, within the prime shards, all shards...?

Or, as my favorite Time Lord cleverly explains things like this: "Wibbly wobbly, timey wimey."

[/ QUOTE ]Just showing that Richard Garriot is, indeed, more than a bit off his rocker.

I mean, come on. Go to a new game, get a new character name. I've only got one Ra'Dian Fl'Gith that wasn't built in the pen & paper D&D world, and that's here in UO. WoW, SWG, EQ... no Ra'Dian Fl'Giths to be found.

Yet, Lord British has been the ***** of MMOGs... UO, Lineage, and now Tabula Rasa. Oy, with a side order of vey.

Think what you will but Tabula Rasa > UO for one reason.

TR has toilets!!

Otherwise, TR is a beautifully crafted MMOFPS level grind. I have yet to see anything I can't solo there. As much fun as it is to blast things for a short while, I don't see TR sticking around to enjoy it's 10th anniversary, let alone a 2nd. No matter what time/day I login nowadays, the server population is 99% of the time set to LOW for all four servers. Occasionally one will be Medium, but even that is uncommon these days.

The Gem was not recreated in the shards. It lacked the power to duplicate itself.

Not saying we did not have any shards. Just the ones we had come from the original.
