We weren't the first to populate Sosaria. I think Assia stumbled upon an ancient alien tablet that predicts the end of days in our world, and the secret code is in that message.

That sort of looks like the old "Asian characters on your screen" bug. Save, of course, for the fact that those don't appear to be Asian characters.

I wouldn't have thought of the alt thing, but I do kinda like it. Especially if you were hitting macros on the 10-key pad.

There is a bug near some server lines that spews whatever is typed at them to different locations ; one example is near minoc - that looks like what happened here

Since no one else said it, I will. Maybe someone near you was using a *GASP* hack. Seriously , it looks like Unicode. Were you using UOA to help you stock your vendor, or something else? Luc's reading over my shoulder and she's the one 24 credit hrs. away from a bachelors in programming. She also asked if you were doing any HTML? She says HTML barfs like that. She had one of her HTML class projects regurgitate like that when she tried to view it through firefox. Luc's cooking atm, says she'll mull it over and post in a little bit. She say something definitely disrupted the code.

I usually just attribute it to being UO when UO does weird crap like that. I'm just desensitized I guess.

I used to occasionally get popup windows about the GM queue all the time years ago, it was a bit irritating to have to close them but otherwise harmless. I probably have a screenshot hiding out somewhere.

When was the last time you patched your client?

It's always autopatched whenever I load uo via uoassist. There is the uoassist patch screen and then the UO patch screen/news with the black screen. My login says UO Version 7.0.35.6 (Patch 66)

Am I missing one? An' thank you for taking the time to look at it.

Was really strange and never seen anything like that before. It was on the Atlantic Shard if that makes any difference. That blue isn't selected any of my speech options like speak, guild, etc.

An' I'm sorry I haven't responded to individual posts. I've been really sick last couple of days.

I can say while I use UOA, I don't really "use" it much these days. All vendor stocking is by hand and not via UOA. I have no other uo-related programs running. I probably had a browser up with a couple tabs, my pricing list.txt and ICQ.

It wasn't ground breaking, just was really strange.

I've had this happen twice in last few days. Except the text was red, and only a couple lines long. I also use the classic client and UO assist. Nothing else was running except icq.

I wasn't actively doing anything, just outside of my house and no one i could see was around.

I've had this happen twice since my last post. The text varied in length, but was shorter than the span in the screenshot.

I have found a common denominator (for me, at least)... it happens shortly after logging in. I login using UOA. I'm not sure if that is a factor.

Ah, well one thing that seemed to have caused this type of message, was vendor search, I did a search, and after it completed, I closed it and changed the sort pricing from High to Low, and this is what happened.


If I had known the message was going to pop up at that moment I would have cleaned up my house a little bit XD...

I was unable to recreate it again though.
