anyone heard of skill cap shrinking bug?

My tamer must have had eaten 120 magery PS for some 3 years now, but today I found the skill cap is down to 115; it must have occurred only recently, as I haven't played the tamer only for a month.

Today I logged in my tamer, then casted a EV outside the house to kill some orcs. To my surprise, I fizzled on the first try. I looked at the skill chart and found the cap is down to 115. The real skill is always 100, and I wear a crystalline ring to get 120, so I never failed to cast any 8th circle spells, especially during peerless. So I'm sure the skill cap must have dropped to 115.

Has anyone ever heard of this bug before? Any solution?

I got a good solution, took me a while to think of tho.

Buy a 120 Magery, double click, press okay.

I don't know about your shard, but on atlantic 120 magery scrolls ain't cheap. Talkin' 10-15 mil, which is more than an Orny.

So if your orny just dissapeared one day off your character's paperdoll you wouldn't want something done about it?

This is a serious issue. I would really hate to see my bards skillcaps suddenly "shrink". Did you try paging a GM or submitting a bug report, Sirion?

Just buy another one, too bad if you can't afford one, you shouldn't waste your time hunting Orcs outside your house.

It's easy to make money on Atlantic buy **** from bank sell it on a luna vendor.

Quite sure you'd sing a different tune if it was your character. Quite sure. The only reason I can think of you disregarding this, Lagger, is if you think the OP is full of it. Personally, I like to give folk the benefit of the doubt on these forums (especially because they're almost 100% never going to see that scroll again).

Lucky, if it were factions then the OP would have lost 30% rather than just 5 points, but that's a good thought. Anyone other than the OP ever experience this bug?

Sirion, what all have you tried to fix it? The ussual stuff (dying, changing servers, gettin' nekked, et cetera)?

I tried killing myself, recall to different servers. No work. It's not a faction loss either. Anyway, I bought another PS for 10M. Done.

The reason I was thinking it a bug is because I was reminded of a friend who also encountered the same issue about 4 years ago. The skill cap of his stealing was 120, but down to 115 after not playing the char for some time. Paging a GM probably wouldn't be helpful for such case.
