Haha no it's not it's ****ing useless. It's buggy, unbalanced, and crippled by TF2 syndrome - that is, you have to be reliant on players to a point where you are unable to do anything without them.

UO had at least some independence, so you could have fun on your own if your teammates sucked **** (like they usually do in WoW).

Darkfall is interesting but not very holding, even being closer to a FPS it still ends up being just another keyboard mash MMO like WoW and AoC etc.

Not to mention the graphics are just painful and the amount of exploiting/cheating going on makes UO look tame.

Well U do bring up some good points...1 tho its NOT WoW :p LoL..but also two..they are working on it..heck the games been out since when Oct? At least no non PVP shard has been made yet. give it time I say. Plus if U have a problem the GMS are really good...Yeah it has bugs..then again UO has buggs too..and its 11 years old..give the game a chance..its fun...frustrating GOD I can't spell right now LOL..but still a fun game to play.. Remember how many people stuck with UO from the start..and the memories they hae..besides major lag...banks being full..and Heck not being able to log on for more than 5 minutes a day?

Now back on topic..Darkfall..I really dont know.. I like EA games..again warhammer..But with UO..its my favorite..but still.....its 11 years old...that is alone is amazing in itself..Yeah WoW may have 11 Zillion players...most of them have 5 accounts tho...But UO is 11 years old..and still going strong...

warhammer online isnt even what warhammer online should/could have been, let alone being what UO could have been.

EA took what was a really interesting and original character development system, some great ideas and went "LOL WOW IS TEH GUD GAME IT MAKES LOTS OF MUNNYS LOL" and turned it into yet another wow clone, because the people makign decisions at EA have no idea about games in a business context and think copying the market leader (which works in many other contexts) is the way to go.

theyd have been more successful if theyd have gone with UO2.


im gonna try out DF, still. but not for a few months. i think the full looting, and the heavy focus on free for all pvp will be tops.

yeah, but darkfall is out now, and will be playable in a few months. MO will take a while yet.

graphics mean nothing to anyone who has played UO and liked it.

well, cant comment on dev teams, that remains to be seen. the DF guys seem to be ok, if underfunded.

money doesnt necessarily mean good. EA has LOTS of money, and it keeps failing at mmos. wow has even more behind it and is probably blizzards worst title (despite being their most successful).

i think the full looting, and the combat and skill progression systems to be close to UO and as such worth checking out.

(will probably look at MO anyway. i think DF is one of the more promising titles ive seen yet, it just needs 3 more months to look like being really playable.)

Jesus christ learn how to type so you don't read like a blithering fool.

I gave it time - 4 months plus beta, in fact. I gave it a chance. It failed to live up to anywhere near my expectations and therefore I quit. It was a chore to log in to the 'game' by 4 months. There was no fun and it was a grind.

Oh, and I wasn't the only person that commented. Funny that Dal agreed and I don't even know him. I think 90% of the fel community (outside your ex KOV dog archer guild) would agree too if asked. That's a nice reputation that you have, congrats.

@ JHoward - You play, and have always played a dismount archer as your main pvp char. Your opinion is worthless.

I havent, nor do i now only ever play a dismount archer,i play a few different pvp and non pvp templates, but thanks for trying:thumbsup:

Also was he ever even in KOV?, and if he was dont be jealous that you would never have been good enough to join its a fact deal with it...:violin:
