Anyone find a use or effect of having blackrock?

I had some both days, and nothing special seemed to happen aside from being in alternate universe moonglow/had my past day self left there frozen in time.

What was with the "you feel as strong as two people" message?

Ummm, what yellow you? I was there on Origin yesterday with blackrock and I never saw a "yellow me".

Just was playing around and cast Armagedon near a Shadowlord and it hammered him for damage...

Maybe if you are not a mage if you throw the blackrock at them

a tailor can walk in and use the blackrock.

type the words of armagedon. look it up via. search.

So, I just tried the Armageddon-on-Shadowlord thing.

The first hit was for around 25,000 damage, then 12,000, and then about 9,000. It was red-lined after that, so I just continued to whack on it along with two super dragons.

My Samurai who has mid-70s skills now has a Cloak of Corruption! I mined all the blackrock myself, too, over the past two days ... one piece each one-hour mining session. So, I don't feel like -too- much of a cheater.

Just almost soloed one... took about 5 pieces of blackrock... Was going to go for a couple more pieces but "help" arrived so I just kept casting on it until dead.

Since most people just leave hints and won't come out and say it.

Here are some confirmation about shadowlord.

1. Armageddon spells will do less and less damage and will
only redline the shadowlord and not kill it.

2. Seems like if you see one that just spawned, and you have
a blackrock in your backpack, just hit your speech macro for
Armageddon spell and if you are the first person to cast it
it will do the highest damage.

3. If you did that, you will get a robe if the shadowlord is killed.

4. Any character can cast the spell just make sure you are close
enough to the shadow lord.

do you have to chuck the blackrock on the ground first?

Don't need to put blackrock on ground, just have it
in your backpack and say the spells words. Takes
1 piece per cast and small pieces from mining works
just fine.

Actually... from what I have found just about any piece of blackrock in your backpack works...

Have you tried casting it after he was redlined?

On Chesapeake this seems to be common knowledge already now, and each Shadowlord's spawning is greeted with 2-3 people casting. x_x
