Anyone else having an issue with cooking?

Hi everyone, returning player here. I'm hoping someone can confirm or deny whether or not there is an issue with cooking. To the best of my recollection, all you had to do to cook a raw bird or ribs was to double click the item in your backpack to get a targeting cursor and then click on an open flame such as a campfire.

Unless that method has changed, I do not get a targeting cursor when I dbl-click the items. I have patched up the latest release and am using the Classic client. I've tried it on my veteran character as well as a new character and I've tried it on two different shards.

Any advice is appreciated and I'm glad to see you folks still having fun and carrying the torch for UO which was such a great part of my young(er) life

Use a skillet or some other cooking tool, then select it in a list just like every other crafting skill I believe is how it works... My friend does all the cooking lol
