Well they could have made it much more interesting for you by spawning a Void Shadow Demon.... I have no idea how many of you recall that monster.... but I think that took over 30 people and 30 golems to kill....

Umm, so where was this announced? Or does it not count as an event?
I know, we had it on Pacific a few days ago. I missed most of it. I saw the yellow Clainin name off screen but he took off before I could catch up to him. I ran all over New Haven looking for him before I came upon the battle scene which had already finished. I caught the tail end of a guard thanking the players in Casca's name.sable the event lasted like 15 mins...that's no fun lol
Despite the fact it was short and that I missed it, it was still 15 minutes of something interesting going on in UO. To me, even a small diversion is a welcome one and I get sick of the whiners who are going to ruin it for the rest of us.
Hrmm this "event" seemed strange too me, and had rather little notice, well idc about the notice or anything, however it was a rather fun few minutes that got me away from the "HOW I MINE FOR FISH!!!" and other people like that, I would like to see maybe a bit more, however if this was just a mass idea the EM's are having to try and not warp story line yet still have something happening good work, that little bit of stuff that grabs at you and then makes you wantto know what happens next is nice, and it makes you actaully want to play rather than become farm roboto over 9K, anyways yeah sorry about poor engrish and grammers. (ar )
Anyways was fun keep it up I enjoyed it just think about making it a bit longer, and have more feeling and reason, other wise kodos, and I will await the next event.

I hope not. Because how am I suppose to attend an event if I don't know when it is scheduled?

Well Baja had annoucement for it. on stratic and on other sites. I feel that it wa a bit short but it did grab my intresst and make me catch up on my UO history. I hope they keep this going. it would be nice to see a storyline that flows and keep the masses(that like the RP) intrested.

Looks, it's really not that hard of a concept. There is no event out there that is going to meet your expectations 100%. I still maintain though that any event, no matter how short, is still something that a lot of players can enjoy. If you're the type who is easily let down, don't go. Furthermore, don't come here and call them stupid.
So what you are saying basically is that event cant ever be BAD. If you don't enjoy them its your fault.
Ignoring the fact that it was unannounced, and lasted...15 minutes. Why even bother?

You don't always know you're not going to like something until it's happened.
Now, granted, plenty of people are not going to like any events no matter what. I agree that those people should just stay away.
But people in general I don't think are going to necessarily know they'll like an event until they participate in it.
I attended a "Name That Tune" event on LS some weeks back. Until I participated I had no idea I would like such an event, but I did.

I think the event was announced on Europa; I thought I saw a post about that.

I think this falls into the category of "story arc window dressing" rather than an actual event - just something to keep NPCs moving forward.
On Catskills we have to check for a labeled shield locked down in the councilors guild hall to know when events are taking place.

if its to be posted it should be on the patch screen you know the one every single player HAS TO USE to log in to UO the one all info should be on the one for godsakes still says its JAN 13 yes over two months old on just the freaking date its just sad and embarrassing and the first thing all ea/mythic workers should focus on

We had it on Oceania, with Blood eles and shadow feinds... the shadow fiends area damage actually killed quite a few people. Anyway it was clearly just a mini event (you didn't miss out on anything if you didn't go) that is leading up to a bigger one.

That's the date of the publish isn't it? So it's accurate still?
How did they announce the event? (just curious, I haven't been in game for a couple of days =)) I went to the councilors (sp?) hall a couple days ago though, and there was a bright red lantern on the table, I thought that might have been some news, but all it said was "K" =P
