I don't know what kind of "proof" everyone keeps asking for. Every person I'm aware of that was caught for anything, was perma'd. Hell, I could copy paste the e-mail I got, but I could just as easily type one out myself right? Explain how someone proves they are banned or anyone else is for that matter? lol.

I just assumed posting something from EA like that would get me banned from posting too hah. If a mod runs by here and ok's me sharing it, I'll gladly copy/paste the exact email that myself and everyone else I'm aware of recieved. Theres been no variations in the email itself including time/date/offense. All exactly the same. I digress until I get approval to post the exact events and the email itself from a mod though.

What more do you want? Or perhaps you are not telling the truth about having been banned?
Why would there be anything wrong with posting the content of an email that says you are banned from UO (considering that you xxx out anything that directly defines an illegal program)?
However if the 'exact events', that you feel need to be shared, involve naming illegal programs.. then do us all a favor and call it 'illegal program' or 'xxx' rather than name it here because that is against the Stratics rules that you agreed to have read and follow.
I for one am still quite skeptical that there are many, if any, proactive perma-bans happening from the anti-cheat campaign. I tend to believe that those allegedly perma-banned at this time are the result of their accounts having several marks before any of this latest anti-cheat campaign began. I do hope I am wrong and I do hope they will take a much more aggressive stance on enforcing their rules than what has been.. I would love for UO to, yet again, have an upstanding and desirable community of rule-abiding positive people representing the force majeure..
(Somehow I doubt you will post an email from EA. Prove me wrong, pls)

I understood his post as more of a jab at trying to post it without breaking rules.
But yeah mean I'm totally lying about being banned because I think its so funny and its such a neat joke. Good one.
Anyway, I was at the big harrower on ATL as people have described as being a big hit spot, when all of a sudden a message was spammed up the left side of my screen saying I violated UM'ing and I have to respond to GMs this and that and was instantly disconnected. Checked my email and it said this:
'Your Ultima Online account has been permanently terminated from the Ultima Online service due to the following violation of the Ultima Online unattended macroing policy:
Violation: Unattended Macro
Date/Time: 11:32 PM 9/13/2010
Rules of Conduct: 6) You may not leave an active character or pet in game while unattended. If your character is performing a skill, text or action, you must be able to respond to a Game Master when one attempts to speak to you.
The Ultima Online unattended macroing policy is designed to prevent players from setting up their characters to repeat a series of actions for any length of time without having to actually be at the computer to even play the game.
If your character is performing a skill, text or action, you must be able to respond to a Game Master when one attempts to speak to you. Failure to do so will result in the suspension of your account.
Please know that you are taking a risk if you macro while at the computer. Should you be called away from the machine for any reason – even due to an emergency – your account will still be suspended if a Game Master arrives and you cannot make contact with them.
Additional information regarding unattended macroing can also be seen at: ANSWER.
Please understand that any additional violations could and likely will lead to the immediate termination of this Ultima Online account.

I then looked at uo.com and looked at my account and saw my info had been changed, like my name etc so I hopped on my second account and paged asking what was going on. As far as I can tell they appear to be using 'unattended macroing' as a blanket response to cover any use of the offending program. It may not be exactly what the offender is guilty of.

Sorry if I was not clear. It was not intended as a jab - but an extension of the post above saying that you could post it so long as the post did not violate our rules of conduct - i.e.: If the letter from EA named an illegal 3rd-party program then it would not be allowed. I will try to be more clear in the future.

Sounds like they were able to link the accts, but...
why would acct information change? seems odd
If thats a real message, then as usual EA makes no sense:
How can he return to the game world if he has been permanently banned, lol.
it doesn't matter because they can do whatever they want anyway.

Like most any resource scripter... they are right back on another trial account...

Yeh my first and last names on the account were changed, email left the same, but then the address and phone number etc were all blank. If you go to uo.com and try to edit your personal info you CAN'T leave any of that blank. Its all required. Looked at the second account and it had a different first and last name and even a new address, but again had required lines blank.
To Chaos, the rule is basically the offending account and any other accounts you pay for are supposed to be banned, but they are completely fine with you starting over so they can keep your money.
Llewen, it was because EA isn't doing their research and aren't searching for second and third accounts linked to the same CC. Three people I know only had one of multiple accounts banned. If you call EA and ask about being banned they'll ask if you have any other accounts on the CC (so they can hit that too). My second one was because when I paged I said "why the f**k was my other account kicked and banned out of nowhere." So they knew it was linked to a banned account, banned it too.
He is correct about secondary accounts not being banned. ABP were you just running a speeder or a scripting program, I'm sure you answered this but I've forgotten. I gather you were not running some type of targeting program at the same time? Were you one of this group whom all got the boot?

Picus, I've been in a lot of guilds across a lot of shards over a lot of years. Never have I ever heard one person mention a "targetting" program. You can make macros in uo options for select next mobile, attack selected! But honestly xxx for training is all I've done. When you ping 120+ at best and half step your way around the game most of the time theres really no point in anything else. Enhanced client is faster than you know what program anyway. We've tested it before where someone runs in enhanced client, side by side with someone with 3rd parties and enhanced tore it up.
Aes, as far as I'm aware the first account had no marks. It was a buddy of mines until he quit, so I can't be positive. Either way, there are plenty of people who have been caught several times and are still getting warnings. The second acct was temp'd once for a certain word or two in game though ;x

Well I have not had a single sale on my vendor since tuesday.. and I always sell about 1-2 mil of stuff a day. Population seems a bit thinner, im at a EM event on my shard right now and the crowd is a lot smaller than it had been... sounds like alot of people got it.

i am in 4 or 5 guilds across 6 shards. iv lost id say 12 -15 perma in last week. and about 4 or 5 to 72 hour bans.
it is real.
BS on atl lost a portion i know of and TCB on Pacific as well besides the guys i allready play with. most were midfight or macroing.

Haven't heard of anyone I know being banned,,, and I've been asking around
I've heard rumours, that's all. What I do know though is that I haven't seen quite a few of "the usual suspects" in the past few days.

When you say 12-15 perma, do you mean accounts or characters?
On a personal note I did come across a burning house that I'd bet money belonged to a script miner. Small size, placed right next to a mountain. Plenty of open space to really no real reason to have a little house like that.
