(Question) Any point in a returning crafter?

Hello all,
Been quite a while since I was playing UO miss the heck out of it.
Is there any point in returning auto Siege with a crafter, been on hold for while feels like an hour with customer service trying to reactivite my old character but I may just end up starting a new one at this rate.
Does anyone buy anything crafted anymore?
Seems like a lot of talk about shame loot etc around this game.
Thanks, Mersiphious

Yup. Imbued gear seems to be in pretty high demand. Might check the thread entitled "Siege player run vendors" down the page. Lots of talk about what people are looking for. :)

Other than suits, regular crafted sellers are:

Filled spell books (regular, necro and mystic)
blank rune books
scroll binders
BoD books
gate scrolls
tools of all kinds
empty kegs
butcher's war cleavers
bone machete
shuriken
potions
plant dyes
arrows
bolts
fukiya darts
fukiya
smoke bombs
egg bombs
quivers
ninja belts

plus bandages which aren't really crafted as such. Any other crafters want to add things I've missed?

Also if you are not an imbuer, I had seen demands for:
As not all imbuers do have a tailor, barded GM made suits (you will need Arms Lore for max resist) remember the Garg suits.
Same may count for other GM stuff Imbuers can imbue
Furnitures, boxes, add ons for deco and crafting.
And we sure need more Imbuers.

How would this look for a start, I'm only going to be playing on one character so I chose magery as a good low skill option for farming of magic items to unravel.
I also chose scribe for both the magrey bonus as well as the crafting benefits
Imbuing
Magery
Eval int
Merditation
Inscribe
Tailoring
Tinkering or is the extra resist from arms lore a better option?

cannon supplies or at least cloth, balls of yarn, charging powder and salt peter. Most of that is gathering rather than crafting, except for the charging powder which annoyingly required alchemy. Kelmo and I are both working that, but getting ready for boat battle is time and resource consuming and we both work. And.....part of the time we will be on opposite sides. So having the option to purchase some of this stuff wold be nice.

I would do arms lore instead of eval. You can always use blade spirit and mind blast on the monsters.

I fear you can count the ones who remember Glowmember on one hand now :(
Did not notice your name Mers, Welcome back.
And I agree with Tjalle, Arma Lore is more important than eval if you want to sell your items, it add more resist to armor and more damage increase to weapons.

A piece of barded armor armor will have:
15 base resist
20 exceptionel resist
8 resist from arms lore 100 (on Siege) 5 on other shards
7 resist from matriale bonus
all in all 50 resist

A weapon will have 35 DI without arms lore but 43 with

As soon you can make a whole suit in leather, and imbue it with LRC you can sell it as newbie training suit for young mages

I don't really know much about imbuing and stratics website doesn't seem to have the information I'm seeking.
Is there a collection of information regarding maximum imbuable values before the user the higher end reagents?

Sorry my memory isn't what it used to be...perhaps Mers could help date this bow? My guess would be pre-AoS? I know for certain it's quite old!

Yup that's a gooder if my memory serves me correct he left for dark age of Camelot in about 2002. I saw him floating about on the star wars forums a while ago but never really kept in touch.
