Any picture of the "“Leurocian’s Mempo of Fortune”"

I haven't seen one.. I've gotten 11 artifacts (turned 10 in).. It said I got a drop one time, but nothing was in my bag, so I walk to the guy to turn what'ever in - nothing was there either..

So wondering if the Mempo is bugged?

No bugs.

Blackrock sometimes drops in your pack instead of an artifact. You cannot turn in the blackrock for majors. Check your pack for blackrock.

The one that you got that is not there... is probably a chest oh heirlooms. If I remember correctly, it seems that during the last two TOT events, those mostly go to your bank box rather than your backpack due to the size/weight.

I just thought it might be funny if they made a counter-artifact which was named Leurocian’s Mempo of Misfortune and had -300 luck instead. In fact I wonder why they have never tried making artifacts which have amazing abilities but could have a negative drawback such as negative properties.

I just thought it might be funny if they made a counter-artifact which was named Leurocian’s Mempo of Misfortune and had -300 luck instead. In fact I wonder why they have never tried making artifacts which have amazing abilities but could have a negative drawback such as negative properties.

Perhaps they decided on a compromise.

I think it is perfect game design. Ideally, there should never be one best item/armor/weapon. You should have trade offs.

For your luck suit, if you want the best luck, the trade off is its not mage armor. If you want to med thru it, use the luck necklace, but the trade off is less luck. This way one new item doesn't cancel out the reason for the other. It's about choice and balance, positives and negatives. It's the way all items in the game should be implemented.

Can't confirm, but others say it is meddable.

Remember that Mempos can be made out of leather. So if they used a leather one as the base item? They shouldn't need to give it the mage armor property.

The proliferation of runic hammers has made us forget that mempos don't have to be metal.

I doubt that but out of 40 minor treasures I got no mempo... Doing Hellhounds/-cats

Yeah...I'm up to 30ish tokuno marties so far and no mempo -- I've gotten as many as 5 of some. It does seem to have a pretty low drop rate from my admittedly limited experience.

They definitely want this thing to be rarer than the others.

I think they know that this one will have value on its own, totally independent of the turn-in.

Has anyone tried to PoF it yet? If the thing is non-PoF-able, then I'm willing to bet that it's a "forever" spawn.

And on a related side-note I've been wondering the same about at least some of the dyes.

Yeah, that would be interesting. Lord Blackthorn's Claw is a good example of that. It has some amazing properties but it's cursed. They should add some that are like that. Or the Oblivion's Needle that has good properties but -20 defense chance.

The person who told me about Oni's said he had 5 mempos. So that is not so rare.

It was fun trying but gosh, if there is really no chance on lower level creatures I wish devs would say so.

The new colors are nice and I have gained skill.

Yes. Minors drop in the mines as well (got 2 so far today among a few others outside the mines).

No Mempo yet though.

I've probably gotten close to 25-30ish minors... no Mempo yet.. Is it only dropping off something special or what?

Welcome to the Random Number Generator.
It doesn't care that you haven't gotten a Mempo in your 30 minor drops. You are just not rolling the right number to get it yet. Keep trying. There is no difference in what monsters you kill (aside from higher fame monsters = quicker drops).

Go roll some dice 20 times. They'll be some numbers you don't roll, and some you roll multiple times. Same thing with the RNG and what minors you are getting.

There are 36 different Tokuno minors which can drop from killing monsters.

That means that with 25-30ish minors, odds aren't that bad that you won't get a mempo.

I'm currently at 24 and haven't seen a mempo yet, but I have a nearly complete collection of the new dyes, which is pretty impressive.

I don't think the dyes count as one minor each. If the dye is selected then it does another random draw to pick the color. Otherwise 1/3 of your minor artifacts turn out to be dyes.

Actually I don't think this is the case. Out of about 40 minors so far, I've gotten about 20 dyes. And I've heard others saying the same thing.

That does seem to be the going trend (24 minors for me, 10 dyes.)
