UO solved the “get home” problem with Runebook charges. Just carry one with charges with a rune to your house, so when you get resurrected you can get back home to re-gear if you lost all your equipment.
The Gift Of Life spell freezes you in place until you click Yes to resurrect. And you must resurrect in place, however there is a lag of a couple seconds between when you die and when the screen freezes you so you should run FAR from whatever killed you. Otherwise you will res right back into instant death. It’s a buff which lasts 4 min at 70 weaving; I don’t know how long it lasts at GM or how a focus effects it.
The sacrifice option is special in that you may move as a ghost to a safe area, and then choose ‘sacrafice’ and point at yourself. Then you will resurrect, up to 3x per week depending on how many Sacrafice paths you have completed. I achieved level 1 sacrafice and used it once, and it ate "1 bubble" of sacrafice, so this is somehting you will have to work on to keep current if you use it.
