Come one, come all!

The first ever Wispwood Wacky Fightnight!!!!!

Starting at 8 PM EST on Friday November 18th, you will be dazzled. You will be entertained. You will be splattered with blood!

Wispwood Wacky Fightnight will be display incredible bouts of single or tag team combat. There will be few rules, and lots of twists.

Entries may be submitted in this thread (the more dramatic the better), or at the event. As things will be hectic at the event, here is prefered. THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE!

The Rules:

1) No field spells, No wildfire. (Other persistent area of effect spells may be considered for removal)
2) No pets, mounts, or summons
3) No leaving the ring

3) All other items and tactics are allowed. This includes wands, potions, chairs, hiding (anyone present may reveal), stealing during the fight (it is expected that non-consumable items are returned after...see looting below), gouging, biting, bloodsucking, hair pulling, and all other manner of creative tactics.

The Twists:

1) All entrants must have Stage names and costumes. These names will be announced with much pomp and circumstance prior to each fight.

2) 10 Points will be awarded in each bout. 5 points go to the winner of the bout (or winning team). 3 points go to the person or team who fight with the most style and sticks to the role of their costume. 2 points go to the person or team with the most original costumes worn while fiighting. The last two items will be voted on by a panel of 3 judges.

3) Breaking any of the rules above will automatically grant the other person or team the 5 points for winning the bout.

4) Looting fallen entrants is grounds for immediate removal from the ring and forfetiure of all prizes and future bouts.

5) A referee will be in the ring during the fight. He will most likely get in the way, and make bad calls, but can be mostly ignored. He cannot cast any spells or assist in the fight. Any entrant inadvertantly killing the referee (I.e. with area spells) will be awarded 10 points, but beware, if the referee is hit by an area spell, he might accidentally swing and damage the contestant before he can react.

6) Any ties will be decided by the referee. Any 10 point winners (i.e. all three point awards) will be granted an on the spot check for 10,000 gold.

7) The ultimate winner for the night will be decided by the judges based on entertainment factor and prowess in the ring. That person or team will be awarded A check for 500,000 gold and other possible goodies. The referee will also be authorized to hand out smaller awards to entrants and/or spectators based on criteria only he is privy to. (see picture of referee below).

8) At the discrection of the Referee and the audience, a bout may be set into sudden death. If this happens, those fighting will be asked to stop. They will then flag grey if not so already. Then the fight begins again Mages in the audience may then cast field spells in the ring at their discretion. The last standing will be the winner of the 5 points for the fight itself. Note, the referee will be conspicuously absent during this sudden death period.

To find Wispwood: The event will be held in the Dueling Pit in Auraglade.

Actually, I would take you up on that, Miranda (and ask Patty P. to join in the brawl too), but we would likely bore the spectators to death if we did. A hatchet/pickaxe/smith hammer only does about 5 - 10 dmg with 0 weapon skill, I think...of course we could use explosion potions for more bang, but with healing potions allowed, that could still take an awful long time for one of us to die

Well, I know a certain Blind Bomber's hoping to be well enough to show up, thereby messing up Bobby Heenan's quote about Kerry Von Erich :
"He's the only man I know of who can hide his own easter eggs."

Personally, I don't think he's up to it. He need to be resting, not wrestling!

My favorite Bobby Heenan quote is this...

A beautiful woman is like an elephant. They sure are pretty to look at, but probably a lot of trouble to own.

Well, it is a fun idea, so I don't think the lack of responses is because of the event theme itself. It might be the date. The holiday season is pretty much officially started in the U.S. with Thanksgiving next week, and for the next few weeks (through the 1st of the year), many people will likely be very busy with holiday preparations, and going to parties and such in the evenings, especially on the weekends.

He grew his hair out so it was long, could be curled and pinned back with gold-plated bobby pins, and dyed it platinum blond. He wore elegant robes, dubbed himself "The Human Orchid" and was always escorted by one of his male ring valets (Geoffrey or Thomas Ross) who would spray his his corner of the ring, as well as George's opponents, with disinfectant and perfume. He was the originator of using entrance music, and was always accompanied by his theme "Pomp And Circumstance"...which would again be used some 40 years later by Randy "Macho Man" Savage. Gorgeous George's ring entrances were legendary, and often took nearly as long as his matches...

I think there is great potential there. You already have the robe, aye?

sadly i am going to an early holiday party tonight, otherwise the beautiful one would have smashed Shakaja head into a turnbuckle and would have put Gonthrax in the patented Blaze Deathlock...

I still might hit Wulf with a chair later though...

oooohhhhh yaaaaa!!!!

And do i see a grudge match developing between kelmo and spider. If so, nothing is better than a wager on said match..

Um, somehow I feel that GonthraX is not the only one who will be spared by your real life plans.

I think I will be around as a spectator at the event, so if you aren't able to make it before the end, I suppose I can hit Wulf with a chair for you. Actually, since Kestrel is working carpentry at the moment, I can hit him with your choice of 3 different styles of chair, a stool or a wooden bench.

i suppose i could come as the mad bomber and completey embarrass myself with my total lack of pvp skill. if it is neccessary, i will embarrass myself for the good of the event!! that is, if baby pickaxe cooperates!

I won't be home until about half an hour after the event starts but I'll bring my crafter with GM Magery to challenge the mad bomber if you want to accept the challenge.

P.S. I have no PVP skills either and on top of that a lousy computer so I'll be lagging like crazy if there are more than 2 people around.

Entries can be taken late also, come by when you are able and we'll fit you in as we can. Be sure and bring information on your persona.

Remember, combat skill is only half the fight. Costume and style during the fight is also a big part of the end result....

(oh, and *bump*)

well,i accept your challenge!! but it really depends if baby is being cooperative at the time. Hubby is working tonight so i wont have anyone here to assign to baby duty while I am chucking pots and dogding stale muffins.

Persona? Costume? Style?
Well since I won't win on the combat front I'll have to work on those three

I think that is the longest I have ever spent at a single event! I enjoyed it, and by the turnout, and the amount of time people stayed, I think a good time was had by all. Thanks to the Shire for organizing it, and to the large number of people of all play styles, who participated in the spirit of the event.

I saw many matches, and many creative characterizations. I saw a Headbanger (Sumatros) bashing on the Tooth Fairy (Spree), and the Tooth Fairy try to pull the teeth of Miss Innocent (Makani)...I even saw the Perilous Pumpkin (Crunch) get carved, and The Tree (Darth) get defoliaged.

Maleeka, as The Iron Maiden, managed to fold, spindle, and mutilate a hapless (and it seems armorless) Yoda, thankfully conquering him before his deadly gas attack could overcome her. The spectators also greatly profited by being upwind of the combatants. (Ewwww, I had no idea there was a "pull my finger" special move in wrestling).

If Yoda gets gratuitous gross points, I think the award for endurance and best use of mini heals for the evening goes hands down to REO of WAKA or the infamous "Dope" as he is known in the ring. As the match stretched on, and REO managed to stay just ahead of Bruno's (a/k/a "Split Cheeks") sizzling salvos to keep out of the gray realm, even the referee got tired, and had to sit down. Although Dope finally fell to the onslaught, he scored major points with the audience for his fighting style, as was evident by the tie breaking vote the ref was required to call for among the audience to decide the match.

Thanks again to all the participants, many of which I did not name, and the fun crowd of spectators.

Great pictures Skylark. I had a great time at the event and I bet not everyone can say that their first duel was with Yoda
I would like to personally thank Yoda for taking pity on me and letting me stand for more than 5 seconds.

Yoda and darth didn't show up until about an hour into the event. Besides, I haven't forgotten what some in VJ did, but I also dont dwell on it. I'm not going to leave an event simply bc they show up. I'm not going to let what happened ruin my time on Siege. If you want to continue the grudge and hate toward them, thats your choice. It's also my choice to ignore them and enjoy myself.

Now, I hope we can leave it at that.
