Citizens of Skara Brae, rejoice!
Yesterday at the scheduled time, Governor Greywulfe boldly announced the recent capture of the criminal leader of the Thieves Guild, Kalaric Anders! Anders, one of the most wanted men in Britannia, had managed to escape justice for several years and very recently went into hiding to elude his pursuers. By a stroke of good fortune he was found travelling the road to Britain while disguised. Items on his person included a forged Moonglow citizenship document, suggesting he had come out of hiding and was travelling to Britain in order to board a boat for Moonglow. It is unclear why Kalaric had suddenly chosen to travel to Moonglow. The Skara Brae Guard discovered him dressed as a simple beggar while travelling the road, and following their instincts, stopped to ask him a few questions. Before long they determined it was the Thief Guildmaster himself and managed to subdue him after a brief fight.
There have been some concerns pertaining to the nature of his transport prior to Governor Greywulfe's announcement, which shall be addressed here. After his arrest, Kalaric was swiftly brought to the Yew Prison for processing. Due to security concerns, Kalaric's reputation as a master escape artist, and his position as the Thief Guildmaster, the prison guards responsible for holding Kalaric decided to take extra precautions to prevent any possibility of escape, first by choosing not to use any magical portals inside of the prison. Kalaric was quietly transported to a secret holding cell located in Felucca, and it was from there that he was transported to the Governor's announcement by moongate. It was explained to Governor Greywulfe by the prison guards that these was unorthodox measures taken in order to confuse any effort to rescue the Thief Guildmaster.
For now, Kalaric Anders shall remained locked away under maximum security until such a time His Majesty King Blackthorn calls for him to be brought before the Court of Justice to answer to his crimes against all of Britannia. Anyone traveling between Yew and Skara Brae is hereby advised to practice extra caution in the event of retaliation from the Thieves Guild.
