I have seen many treads on high animal lore, but what does it's value mean to a Tamer?
Will High Animal lore let me control that super pet better?
Or will i heal/vet it better?
What part in use does the Animal lore skill to Taming pets have?
Nada-Nil-o-Zero, no use of the animal lore is used in the taming formla.
The Taming skill is used.
Why is the animal lore skill so valued eairly in a Tamers template?
It is easy to gain, so low taming with high lore will have better control for low taming requirment pets.
So high Animal lore and low Taming makes me a better Tamer?
NO: You need the Taming skill at the pets tame requiremt to at least own or tame it.
I'am at GM Tamer (100 taming) what can i use the animal lore skill for?
Well at GM taming you can attemt to tame most pets, the fire steed and cu etc are out of your leag, but at 100 you can owen a ww.
So at 100 taming and now a proud owner of a wyrm/lizard/mare.
We now have a nightmare, ack ya it's bad.
Black, evil natured, spawned from the depts of-----------T2A, but who cares we have 100 taming and we tamed it.
100 Taming and zero lore (if human joat = 20) Shall the noble mare folow thy commands?
Did i say noble, munch--so it's a dream---munch--ack the world is gray?
Confused, At 100 Taming you will need 100 lore to be able control it @ 99%.
You can't get to 100%, 99 is max.

But if i increased Taming to 120?
It would only require 20 lore, yes for only 20 more very slowy gained skill points and time in the taming skill, you could have the same control as 100 tame/100lore.
So more Taming skill via lore is more control?
Basic is yes, a skill point in taming is worth 5 SKILL POINTS in lore for control.

What else is lore used for?
Well at 99.9 or lower you can have a chance to view the stats of a tamed animal.
At 100 you may lore any tamable animal (wild or tame)
At 110 you may lore all.
I want to be a Veterinarian?
Ah yes you will need the lore skill.
The formula used for hitpoints healed is the same for Veterinary as anatomy is used for Healing.
You will need a minimum of 60 skill points in both Animal Lore and Veterinary to be able to attempt to cure a poisoned pet.
You will need a minimum of 80 skill points in both Animal Lore and Veterinary to be able to attempt to resurrect a pet.
Also the Animal Lore skill will incress your stable slots.
