[Spellweaving] and pvp

any pvp'ers use spellweaving for pvp- not pk'ing, but guild fights, factions, etc? any suggestions? what works best for you?

Renewal and Attunement a must. Pixies if you want to run 60-80 SW.

renewal and attunement and pixies are nice but...

thunderstorm and essence of wind (92 for 100% cast) can change entire fights

getting off thunderstorm (fast cast) will reveal those pesky stealthers AND cripple opposing casters faster casting recovery, in addition to dealing light damage

getting off essence of wind (slower cast) will cripple opposing casters faster casting, in addition to dealing moderate damage

get both off, you have effectively neutered opposing mages/casters for enough time to wipe them out.

ideal for choke fights, but thunderstorm is fast enough to cast open field fighting

layer in wildfire (106 for 100% cast), you and a couple of other mages can push through any choke against incompetent opposition

I used to run 4/6 casting with a sw pvp template. Magery didn't affect the FC on SW. So you'd have 2/6 for magery and still 4/6 for SW. This was pre-imbuing so 4/6 was achieved with Orny, Arcane Shield and 1/3 ring. If this is still true you may want to consider building a 4/6 suit.
