An Untapped Cross-Advertising Source for EA

EA should have towncriers advertise its other games on town criers periodically to announce the release of new games.

Why? Why Not?

I just thought it would be funny if they took the shadowbane route of in game advertising.

I err umm played a certain other game and had ghosts popping up spamming me with corny adverts for an expansion.


I think it was the moment I decided that a certain game sucks.

What I think EA should do is try the Video Professor Informercial approach with a "please...try my product" line at the end of each commercial

Um i think any sense of immersion in a fantasy world was killed when this became a purely numbers oriented game.

Yeah when, Competitive play in UO suddenly required doing hours of math, hours of searching for useful items and spreadsheets one had to come to the conclusion that it was simply no long immersive.

Planning for characters requires less time in game and more time in office. play requires hours setting and creating complex UOAssist macros.

UO is not immersive it is decidedly a game of math and planning.

Yes, but once you have the character made and can play it, you can become immersed. It would be terrible for roleplayers to be strolling through town and see promos for a video game.

The sense of immersion died when UO moved from skill based to item based. And away from community to a soloists game. This game isn't much fun anymore for a good size guild unless all you do is fel spawn PvP with a bunch of hacking cheats. And I refuse.

Yes this,the money they make is off the subs not the software.Give away the software up to and including Mondain's Legacy and let people sub from there.

With SA coming up,they could give that client away for free and include ML access.
