Since this forum is DEAD...an OT !

What do ya remember as your possibly worst and best Christmas gifts ever ?

*besides sweaters socks and underwear* lol

Worst Christmas gifts for me, were quite elaborate, but back in the day of *sexist toys for kids*.

One wonderous Christmas my brother got a full Lionel Train set being a boy he could be given such. I always wanted a train set...but neither Santa nor parents gave train sets back then... to...GIRLS.

Instead I got 2 dolls, one was a very elaborately costly dressed 3 ft. tall BRIDAL DOLL in full outfit, and a Barbie Doll.

*Sigh* I was so depressed. I looked at the bridal doll and hated it, and popped the head off the Barbie doll in a few weeks cuz I didn't like her either. Don't get me wrong, most years I liked all the dolls that Santa gave me, but that year I wanted a train set and that bridal doll was some how sending this lil girl the wrong message back then...I really hated it and Barbie too.

BEST CHRISTMAS EVER for me was...when my husband bought me....and gave me for Christmas,
2 Full train sets/lincoln log set/ and mini trainset ho tiny version !

He said ...for years every Christmas I heard ya tell the story how gyped one little girl felt being...*a girl* to get stuck with bridal and barbie dolls instead of the Lionel Train set. So Merry Christmas !

HE made me so happy. I rapidly slapped up all the trainsets and tracks and village in a spare room we had and was playing with my train sets, like I was a lil kid again ! :)

And every Christmas...I set up MY TRAIN SETS here...hug hubby and thank him for getting ...[a GIRL] her first train sets ever ! :)

PS..I also now own my brother's Lionel train set HERE too.. told him if he did not help me move stuff out of my parents home when they passed, I WOULD TAKE HIS vintage 1950s huge Lionel classic TRAIN SET and keep it !
I DID ! muhahhaaa and it still works ! :)

22 year ago from my first wife...

*looks over shoulder for second wife*

...I was young with no kids and all I wanted was a Rolex watch.

Imagine my surprise chrsitmas morning when I opened up a Brand New Rolex GMT-II

Not only was it a huge surpise but the best gift I had ever received, the wife had bought it 15 months earlier and been making small payments the whole time.

Best part is I still wear it today...had two wives, 4 homes, 8 cars and 4 motorcycles...only one watch!

I do have a standing agreement with my second wife...I'll the watch off when she hands me my new one!

BTW...still looks great 22 years later!

Side note...I did pawn it in Aruba in 1997...but won enought at poker to buy it back before I left the island!

What kind of motorcycles ? We only have had 2 but I liked em, one was a honda 350 or so back in the 70s and a used big ol' Harley hog..also nice back then.

My husband has also gotten me some really nice rings for Christmases and other occasions sometimes the best occassion is ..no occassion at all.

He has surprised me with an opal and diamonds ring one year, the LindeStar sapphire and diamonds ring another year, and watches every time mine crap out he gets me new ones.

But yeh, best ever gift was...the trainsets. :)
His fav. gift from me was this pricey rifle he wanted one yr. I did same thing tiny payments over time, and his eyeballs bout cried in joy, to get that $piffy camo painted designed huntin' rifle. :)

OH FRUIT CAKE...worst gift ever, from anyone !!
----------------------
Most folks know NOT to give us fruitcakes..but some folks are just not very creative with Christmas gift giving.

My hubby and I have a perfect solution to fruit cake gifts.

One year we got 6 of those nightmares...I scooped em all up for us.

We headed out to his shooting range. :)

I tossed em into the air as high as I could, as shotput targets.

He took aim and fired upon em all !

Now before anyone says it...we would NOT donate fruit cakes to the needy. NO we donate useful foods like turkeys hams sacks of potatoes fruits veggies not no fricken FRUIT CAKES !

They do make grand shotput target thingies though.

And yes...we went out into the field collected up the shot up fruit cakes, so no innocent wildlife nor waterfoul would accidently ingest fruitcake bits laced with buckshot and lead !

these are not christmas gifts but just gifts in general...

My best has to be my 1972 chevelle SS 402...

Worst has to be a remote control car with the goddamn ****ing son of a pancakes wire attached from the remote to the car...

Honestly! WTF is the point of having a remote control car if you gotta chase it around like a dumbass...

My ex girlfriend gave me an "exercise slide" one year, and I was like: "uhhh thanks? ...Are you calling me fat?" I had apparently made a comment about wanting to get more cardio or something. But I got to make fun of it for years after so that was nice.

Best gift I dont know... probably this little TV I got when I was like 10 that I used frequently for like 15 years. It still runs just great.
