An error has occurred in the synchronization between the login servers and this world

Has anyone seen this error before in the 2D client or Enhanced client?

I have been getting it sporadically from both my hotel room and my office in Mexico during my "working" vacation from the UK.

It happens after the user name & password, after picking the shard, before you get the list of characters on that shard.

I thought it might just be me being a way away from Europa, but I can get the same error trying to connect to other shards. I also thought it might be only in the 2D client, but I can replicate the problem in the Enhanced client, even though I never normally use it.

It is not consistent across my accounts; it afflicts different accounts at different times, and if you keep trying, you succeed eventually on any given account.

Any comments welcome. Maybe I shouldn't play UO on vacation.

Happens to me every now and then. I play the 2D exclusively.
Haven't found a pattern to it.

First off, yes I know this is an old post.


I get this error regularly connecting through a 3g Network via phone tether.
about 1/10 connection attempts work which is really annoying being that it makes you close the program to try again. I don't care if they fix the bug but at least fix it so you don't have to restart the client every time.

While bandwidth isn't the issue because I run lag free it could be the stability of the connection.
