Ambitious Solen Queen Quest

Yes it's me again, the clueless one.

I reactivated an elder account and wanted to do the BoS Quest but I can't. Miss Junior Solen says I'm too busy right now - which I think I'm not as I am talking to her . Odd though that I can do the other Solen Queen Quest (AKA PoT). I know that I can do only one of the classic quests at a time but I checked that I'm not on Naturalist's-, Collector's- or Hag-Quest. Is there any way to cancel this mysterious quest which blocks me?

edit: Great! Now the Senior Queen is ignoring me too. Why do they plot against me?

In KR shift righclick your ingame character. There you can open the current quest log and even cancel it.

Yes, I've done that already. I used to do this quest again and again with this character but this time it's different.

Sorry but this is excactly the thing I couldn't do. When I open the quest menue throught the icon bar it shows nuthin, niente, nada.

Meanwhile I solved at least the 'edit'-part of my above question. I think it was a KR bug. Although I declined Elwood's Collector's Quest (yes, certain) the quest chain started. I found this out while giving him his rainbow thingies he wanted - which I did for evaluation. BTW, it was a royal pain to solve this quest in KR because the quest log is buggy. I had to change back to 2D i.e. to see what pictures I have to take or to get the sheet music. On top of that Trinsic was unter attack .

Anyhow, now I can do the Solen Queen Mommy Quest again but still not the Abitious thing .

In short the question again: Why can I NOT do the Ambitious Solen Queen Quest although I CAN do the Solen Matriach Quest?

Try going to a town (Cove is good) and escorting an NPC noble to the town of their choice. It must be a noble. This seems to have been used as a "reset button" on the original quest system and may help you with your problem.

I did. Unfortunately it didn't help either. Seems to be a very uncommon problem and eventually I will find a way to solve it and if not, well, I have to do the quest with another char.

have you checked UOGuide.com? there's lots of good quest info there. might find something to help you figure out what's going wrong?

Well, you could always try the GM lottery and see if they can look to see if your char is bugged. You will most likely need to be very specfic in your request as to not get sent to the knowledge base.

UO Guide: Already checked before. Read everything about it but nothing new. Read all relating pages on Stratics too (Hunter's guide). Checked also the EA knowledge base but the problem is not mentioned there.

GM: Yes, I tried my luck. Guess what? After being the standard number 10 in the queue for 20 minutes (ridiculous!) I got an automatic response that I should send in a bug report. What I did of course.

Here's what I tried since (mostly several times): Killed 5 Red Solen Queens (in case I'm stucked somewhere in the chain), killed 7 Black Solens, gave seed to the Queen, went to Felucca, killed 5 Black Solen Queens and so on. Still the same: Queen Quest yes, Ambitious Quest no - on both facets. Right now I'm doing all kind of quests one by one hoping that this will reset the mess anytime.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I'm having the same problem. Has anyone figured out how to solve this?

I currently have Lost Civilization quest and Dreadhorn on and she keeps telling me I'm busy. Same as the OP.

those quests are the new quest system.

The only quests that matter are the ones for the OLD quest system. Right click on your character, and see if "View Quest Log" and "Cancel Quest" are options. Those mean that you have an active old-style quest.

The old style quests are
Naturalist
Solen Matriarch
Ambitious Solen Queen
Witch's apprentice (griselda the hag)
Doom Bone Demon quest
The now-defunct standard template quests from before new haven.

if you don't have those lines, then you're bugged, and need to talk to a GM about an issue with the old-style quest system. Be as precise as possible so you don't get the BS "can't help with quests" canned response.

Had exactly this problem. Fiddled about like a mad thing in KR trying to cancel.

Then tried to do it in the 2D client, right clicked myself, or shift clicked or something like that (i forget) and up came the option to cancel quest, which actually works in the 2d client.

Bingo.

I'm having the same problem. 2D client didn't help and the GMs told me to send a bug report.

Has anyone already mentioned, that you have different target options in the kr client? If you have legacy targetting enabled, you can richtclick you char. If you have the other targeting active, you first need to single click yourself. That should bring up you head as targeteted. Rightclick that head to get access to the old quests.

You can also right-click your status bar- but the problem is that I don't have any pending quests.
