Am I just a dummy are there ways to break into a House?

I was working imbuing every 15 minutes, and saw his name flash up. But just figured it was someone shopping from my roof. I do the training from the ground floor as I was BBQ'd with some explosion potions a week ago on the second floor. Didn't know that was possible either!

Anyhow I went to my second floor to grab some more citrins from a chest, but low and behold I saw a moongate open inside my house, that then closed a second later. "What the heck!"


Somehow a "person" (some kind of "night-stalking" critter *wink*) got into my house and cleaned me out of ingots, essenses, a few cursed arties (and not sure what else).

I immediately changed all the security settings for my chests right away, so it could have been far worse if he had done it when I wasn't on. So I was fortunate there.

But I am totally confused, I thought the house was secure. The only way in is pretty much through the teleporters (and I double checked those settings). I never use the doors. But maybe I am over looking the obvious?

Can anyone please give the house a look over and let me know if I am missing something? Try to get inside.
Its the little vendor house "Meat Popsicle's Shop" on the south side of Yew moongate.

If you gated out of your house then someone could come back through the gate, if not there a bugs you can use to shift your characters z axis so if you can get above or below the room with the chests you can get into that room. First way is perfectly fine and you basically asked for it with chests set to anyone access in a public house the second way is cheating and even though you should still never have unsecure chests in public house Mr Stalker is a very naughty boy !!

Your house is easy to break into. You have the teleporter to your top floor set to anyone. I was just there, from there it is easy to get to lower floors. Reset that teleporter to friends, than on the second floor directly above where your teleporters on the first floor put up a secondary wall. This will stop people from breaking into your house.

remember that anytime you customize your house it can reset all your doors and teleporter permissions to everyone.

Never use anyone access boxes. Unless of course thats really what you want it for.

Nightstalker is a thief, he will steal your items if he gets an opportunity. That's the game he plays. However I have never heard any hint that he uses anything but legitimate in game skills and a little natural guile.

If Nightstalker was in your house he got in through an error on your part. As Lord Dog has mentioned, teleporters re-set when you customize, always check the access settings when you have customized. Never have 'anyone' access boxes. Always dispel gates you have used, always check if you walk through an open door that no one stealthed through with you. Detect hidden needs no skill points when used in your own house.

My setings were all correct and I just lost the corpse to decay. In my case I think he summoned a demon which got into my public, but locked tight, house somehow.

No biggie.

Always dispel gates you have used,

This only dispels the gate on your side. The moongate remains open and usable on the other side.

*edit* I suppose if you gated out of your home, this would be a good idea. But I always used to just walk outside and do it

Not true... I'm pretty sure you your self had a problem at your moonglow vendor house and I showed you how the person got into your home and told you how to prevent it.... I will not explain what was done and how but I think you should remember what I'm talking about.

I dont know about you guys but I would *Much* Rather PvP your Gear off you, instead of walking in your House like a PvP Failure (Thief) and taking your stuff without a fight... That sirs... Is Boring.

There are many legal ways to get into a private house, you just have to be very creative and very very patient.

If the house is private you should not be able to get in period. You should not get on the steps if not accessed or higher. And if you hop a gate in without access you pop under the sign.

So I dont see how any way into the house would be legal. A public house on the other hand, is a different story

Personally, pvp is fun yes. But nothing beats taking someone's siege blessed items

The only ingame experience i have with you Is watching you PvP When I had first Joined the Shard and was a total newb, And even then, I didn't think anything special of you.
