Hey Fellas,

im kinda new to the taming world and i am wondering why the Dark Father keeps attacking me, if i try to vet my pet. Same at other bosses.

This puts me in the place where i need magery and meditation, to keep my pet alive.
Its Strange, that for example Dragons dont attack me, while vetting my pet.

Most of the bosses have an area effect spell or ability and most normal monsters do not.

i dont mean the area effects. I mean the Boss or the mini Boss switches targets to me, not dealing area effects, but hit me in meele and with magery.
They even chase me, when i go back.

What happens when monsters have an area of effect spell, like the dark father's wither, is it damages you, and as soon as it damages you, it switches target to you. I have seen people that can still vet their pets when they are attacking the dark father, but I haven't been able to do it myself. If you have good magery you can try standing back and healing. Dark fathers are very hard on pets. I expect even the new dragons won't find them easy.

aside from the area spells.. wither is a fav of the DF's.. he is HIGHLY intelligent. Intel 10x's higher than dragons. Almost like a good pvp'r they know kill the tamer/then you can work the pet. There's a good reason why you go fight DF to get the really good arties.. he's smart, hit's hard, and show's no mercy.
