Alliance.. still broken

It has been so long since the ability to form Alliances has worked. Supposedly we got a fix, but it never worked and we've reported the fix for the fix hasn't fixed anything.

Is there any word? Any timetable? Any explanation as to what is wrong and why it's taking so long to fix it? An ETA for a fix would also be welcome news.

Our alliance problem has finally been fixed, and we were able to form a new alliance today!

What I did was do a guild search on UO.com, and double checked not only our guild, but the guilds we were trying to ally with to see if that page displayed they were already allied. Sure enough, it showed our guild was. I sent that information to EA ... including how it showed an alliance on the guild search page, and the name of the alliance and other guilds in that alliance. Within a week, we were fixed! We formed our new alliance today

Thx.. we are trying the same procedure now. Who at EA did you send the information to? Was it Jeremy? Or someone else? We'll get it worked out hopefully soon too.

I sent the information to Jeremy via email, and to EA via the online help section. I was VERY detailed about which guilds I was trying to ally with, and any glitches they were having. I included all information from the UO.com guild searches, plus information from doing the guild diplomacy guilds awaiting action search from the paperdoll.

Just to add on to the topic. Last week in San Diego, broken guild alliances were brought up.

Jeremy said that the alliance fix that was put in place with the last publish does work, BUT it is not retroactive... meaning if your guild was having an alliance issue prior to the fix, it would not work for you. Only since the fix.

Jeremy also went on to say that if your alliance dropping issue is from before the fix, in addition to emailing... you can also page a GM in-game, and the GM will need to -manually- edit your guild/alliance script on the server. Takes the GM several minutes to make the change, but it can be done.

In the paging, include your guild's name and that is an alliance drop issue on the server script.
