All release?

I just returned to Siege Perilous, after 3 years away from UO, and it appears the "All Release" command no longer works. Instead you have to rename the pet and release.

When did this change? Is it just Siege, or all shards?

I have no idea when it changed, but all release no longer works. You can just right click on your pet and choose release to release them.

dont have to rename (unless its a seige thing) though you might accidentally do that in the process. right click release.

if you have additional pets you cant see but are shown as taking control slots, log out and back in and they will appear next to you. you can then release them
