i am a bit confused about the greater explosion thing, so i have a few questions.

1. if i have gm alchemy does this stack with a 50 enhance pots ecru?
2.if so can you go above 50 by using a brace or talisman to go higher?

The total cap for a gm alchemist is 80%.

The total cap for a non alchemist is 50%

At gm alchy you get a 30% bonus to pots so just an ecru ring would be enough to take you to the cap. Other useful items are the Alchemist's Bauble and the talisman Treatise on Alchemy.

Yes it stacks you'll do more damage per every 5% of alchemy. Also 100% alchemy grant you additioanl 30% EP, that is not subject to jewelry caps. So you can get jewelry 50% EP + alchemy bonus = 80%.
