AI vs Non AI on a Cu vs Balrons

I am building some new Cus. So I need to know if AI has to be used. ( I know it does, but how much better)

Used my fav Fame builder. Balrons at Chaos.

The Balron has resists that allow the Cu to do a lot of damage.

I did ten in a row and attempted to time them accurately. I did not loot. I ran Consume so they would not have to use heal a lot. I started and stopped timer when dead and attacked.

Without AI (Seconds)

1. 24.5
2. 23
3. 37.5
4. 20
5. 32
6. 32
7. 19
8. 27
9. 21
10. 31

Paragon times: (they appeared after 6 and 9)

3 min 57 sec and 5 min 15 secs

The second one was really avoiding damage in the middle.

Mana level was below 25 when I checked it on paragons. Sometimes at 200 on regulars. But often below 20 on regulars. Same with AI and without.

With AI (Seconds)

All in a row took a long time for paragons.

Paragon times:

4 min 2 sec and 3 min 44 sec

So, The Armor ignore is important.

The Balrons are easy kills for Cus. But it was the easiest thing I could test on. Alone and fast spawn.

Heres the resists on them.



My scrolled out Chiv AI Lesser took 17 to 27 seconds to kill them.

The pet I used was this one.



It is a 4 slot that I just put Max damage on. I did the first test without AI.
Then took it out and put AI On. Healing increased by .2 during tests.

Add any conclusions you have.

Now it looks like this.





Kills the plain ones 17 to 24 seconds.

Paragon times:

3 min 37 secs and 3 min 38 secs.

Does not take enough damage to run consume on the plain ones.

IMO AI and parry are the most important things in a build.

Have you tested Cu with chivalry against the Balrons? I read somewhere it casts EOO so that would speed up your kill times, right? I know you're testing AI. I'm just curious what 3 skills you'd pick for the ultimate Balron killer. I haven't touched my tamer since returning so I'm still learning how this new system works.

ultimate Balron killer.

The Cu damage matches the Balrons lowest resists. An AI Chiv Cu would work great.

T Rex and the Great Ape also match a Cu. Takes a while. Two Cus are faster. A Cu and a beetle with RC make it go even faster.

Do you notice the Cu actually casting EOO and doing more damage? Also, have you tried discord on your Cu?

Yup they cast the spells you mentioned. Chiv works well on pets because all the spells are useful. So when they gave the spells to the pets, any would be good. Healing, remove curse , and cure are the main ones. The extra damage is a bonus.

Discord works. Take a bard to the places you want the pet to fight and see if the mobs can be discorded. Many of the good ones cant.

What about CB-Conductive Blast? Or is it still too short lived to have appreciable effect? Like adding AI plus CB plus Chiv?

I use a ai chiv Cu specifically for para creatures they work great and eoo works nice. Add Discordance to your tamer and a regular balron dies in three bites. It is a great time saver when you need to farm up some karma and fame.
