On chessy there is one guild who is running the table. They have all the leet gear, and continue to add to their numbers. Thus my lack of desire to get involved. I'd rather fight liches and sicarii.

Ok, my guild on Chessy has nothing to do with this post. For the record as well, I haven't "added to our numbers" I've added people's alts, and have been booting others who don't listen or refuse to use vent/automap.

Did I see that guy run through the wall in Mag base, I know I saw the running over the hay, but was that really through that wall?

Cheating seems to be the way to go these days. I've had 2 new members and a handful of veteran players leave the game over the past two weeks because of it. I have to agree with them that there is no point in playing under circumstances like these. Its simply too frustrating. I have no idea what type of cheat allows you to walk over objects like that, but on my shard, its mainly speedhacking, heal/cure and loot programs. =/

I'm glad it's not just me having these problems!

On Europa there are so many speedhackers in factions/PK guilds!!!!! You see more people using the hacks than you do without.

I've got a pretty **** hot connection, don't have any lag issues APART from when I encounter these guys running hacks. Not only are these ****nuts using hacks to run like 1.5-2x as fast as me, they are also lagging me to hell! Does anyone else get uber lag around these guys?

Is it just me?

I totally see what you guys are saying though, if your not cheating there isn't really any point in trying to compete.

I'm confused. Basically you are posting this to complain about people using a third party program to fix an issue of stupidity that shouldn't even be in the game. Items SHOULD NOT block players. The fact that they do is stupid. The fact that people use items to block players is even lamer then people using cheats to get around it. If you can explain to me what the hell items blocking players has to do with PvP AT ALL then I will see a point to this "issue". In the future, just don't try to block with items because people can get around it OBVIOUSLY.

You don't actually run over them. The third party program simply moves them out of the way and you run through them. It just happens so fast that it looks like you are running right over them.

Not to mention a good player can also move those items while still moving they just can't do it as quickly as a third party program can.

You run over them. It's not a third party program, it's an edited art file I'm sure.

This is the problem. You have three options:

1. Cheat like everyone else.
2. Don't play.
3. Always lose.

Until EA actually cracks down on stuff like this, those are the options you have.

i used to pvp non stop years ago before speedhacks became popular and had a lot of fun, over the years more and more people hacked and yea it does suck but ive come to terms with number 3 on your list, now i dont really mind losing i just like the fight so its not a big deal, i give myself an A for effort sometimes :)

Its funny someone mentioned the blocking ppl thing wasnt pvp. For your information those idiots skipping over them are the ones who placed them.....Thats there base they are defending.

Its ****ing pathetic that you can modify art files and create a huge advantage like this.

Using items to block people has almost always been a part of factions. I sat and watched another faction guild on my shard load there base up with candlebras while they defended and they just moved right over them. I paged of course sat there for 2 hours watched them corrupt the sigils and finally got the uber canned msg responce.

Guess i wasnt expecting a devs responce there responce is to add new shiney **** to this game then fix it. Congrats you gave cheaters a new haven to play in and whats better you gave them overpowered items to use.

EA doesn't give a ****.

EA would rather ignore the problem than to even acknowledge that a problem exists.

EA has never responded in any thread like this and they never will.

EA would rather concern themselves with the certain color of a plant than to deal with this.

I honestly think EA has the same mindset as one of the previous responses, everyone that PvP's will either have to adapt (which means cheat too), quit, or lose.

NOT TO MENTION THE ******** LAG LATELY MAKES THE FEW THAT DON'T SPEEDHACK EVEN LESS COMPETETIVE!

Its a art file edit and completly client side. It just changes the file on yoru client to make your game think there passable. If they just put a check in it on the server side it wouldnt be possible.

Would be nice if everytime you started the client it compared the art file you have to what it should be. If they aren't the same you can't connect!

Wishful thinking I know.

Well, that's good... it's good that you can derive fun from it in spite of the other side cheating.

However, to many players, PvP is viewed as a competition. When blatant cheating comes into the picture, the competition loses its allure to people who choose not to cheat.

Beating someone with a cheat proves absolutely nothing... other than you can't handle a real challenge.

You can overcome the cheaters in open field fights through teamwork.

You cannot, however, overcome cheaters defending a base with obstacles that you can't walk over but they can.

But everyone needs to look on the bright side. DFO expanded their beta testing! Open beta should be in a couple of weeks!
