Still got my set as well. I even have some OLD 3d client screenshots while they were still tweaking the paperdoll look of my fisherman/archer wearing the set while fishing and fighting serpents back when it DID offer at least some protection.

Edit: Also still have my two pieces of crafted Coal Plate armor (arms and legs to be exact).

Nope, they didn't come from a clean up... that was Phoenix Armor. Ranger armor came from two systems... the Newbie tickets and one of the Xmas ticket exchanges... each ticket had a random number, you then had to find someone with a matching number to claim the ticket's prizes... needless to say this led to DAYS worth of spamming at the banks.

But now the whole set gives you like 30/40/23/44/25 or something. You're better off wearing Thundercats Underoos into battle.

when imbuing came out i seen a set with low regs on it. not sure if it can still be imbued or not. I have 19 full sets and about 20 or more extra pieces. would have been nice if they gave like 10k pints each for clean up (i would have kept at least 10 full suits tho im sure ha)

I remember reading the post of a player who claimed he quit because the game system's economy was so absurd that "horse crap is worth millions of gold."

I thought he was just being colorful, but a few months later I found out that horse droppings truly are a sought-after rare in the game, worth millions.

Seems like so long ago... I remember people wouldn't even ID weapons and sell them to the smith or provisioner and you could ID them right off the shop inventory. I got some nice weapons that way....

just sold my 3 sets. last one for 500k, first 2 for 250k. i think you can imbue them. They killed RP for me, so it's not like i need them anymore

just curious about the context...like, you threw it on a mannequin, or an argument over how it was more exciting to collect deeds and claim pieces versus the current clean-up...haha ;P.

not saying I don't love the suit . I spent countless hours collecting daemon bone armor as well, and that isn't much better, resists wise, post-AOS ;P.

Sorry to continue being off topic but I have just been offered the first 12 by a colleague at work who no longer wants them. Wahoo I only had 1 and 2 so that will be a nice bonus - though my poor bookcase is already full and has ever increasing piles of books in front of others and on the floor next to it.

Ranger armour is pretty cool though a shame that it's resists are rubbish.
