Advice on starting fresh on a new shard with a sampire?

I'm going to start a fresh character on Atlantic, without help from a character transfer, as a way to check out Atlantic and for the fun of starting from scratch.

I know I'm starting a sampire, this is what I have down so far:
120 swords
120 bushido
60 parry
85 Chiv
99 Necro

Now, I've been out of the game for a while, so I'm not sure how to complete the template. I'm also wondering if I've made the right choice choosing swords?

As for actually creating the character... I'm assuming starting the character with 50 in the weapon skill and necro would be my best starting point... and then buying the other skills in new haven? Is there still a golem trick, or am I going to have to go fight more manually?

Finally, assuming I get a little help from some of the friendly folks I've talked to, what fairly cheap equiipment should I be asking for if they offer to get a good start?

Thank you!

the rest points put in Anatomy (100+)

49 sword
49 healing
some bushido and some chivalry (to get books)

1. lock all skills and get 500gp for excort
2. set hotkeys and mark needed skills up (all above + meditation and focus)
3. get 500gp for excort
4. train bushido, chivalry, tactics, anatomy, parry
5. get quests for bushido, chivalry, tactics, anatomy, sword, healing, focus, meditation
6. sacrify gold to an ankh
7. train skills to 50, make escort, get rewads for quests
8. (optional) train parry to 60 on sheeps

buy necro book with spells you need and a 100% lrc suit
if you haven't enough money for 100% lrc suit then buy bolts of cloth per 100gp, make bandages and sell them to NPC veterinars (check few towns to find 7gp+ price)

train necro to 99 and chivalry to 85 (while you have med and focus) making escort quests at the same time

I think you get a full necro book for doing the new haven necro quest, so definitely don't start with that skill above 49

I did that not too long ago. I think I trained my weapon/tact/anat/heal on solens. After it was high enough I got some +weapon jewelry and went to Shame, then beat on the earth eles and mud things until I was 100+.

So you would recommend:

120 swords
120 bushido
60 parry
85 Chiv
99 Necro
120 Tactics
116 Anatomy

Thats my template and it works well. But you should consider throwing as well. Either in sammy or whammy format, seems to have the edge on swords. Im starting one now from scratch since I didn't want to convert my sammy into a gargoyle.

I don't have SA, so throwing isn't really an option right now, lol

My best advice is to start a crafter at the same time as your new sampire. 120 Imbuing and 120 Blacksmithy will help you get weapons and initial armor which will be a huge help.

I suggest you to get SA and start a thrower becouse it is:
- fun
- easiest start on a new shard
- fastest farm gold (to equip and train your sampire)

With a thrower you can start farming in 2 hours after creating the char :)
Skills for thrower:
throwing
tactics
anatomy
imbuying (strongly recommended for the first char on a shard) = "free" heal stones
chivalry
bushido

You needn't healing becouse as a range char you take less damage and you have heal stone, bushildo and chivalry to heal.
Start with 50 throwing 50 chivalry, make quests for tactics/anatomy/bushido. Then go to Ter Mur buy Imbuying and start farming in Ter Mur.

Template i used to get started on siege shard was

120 throwing
120 imbuing
115 tactics
120 bushido
99 necro
71 chiv ( + 9 from items )
70 ss

Good for pvm and you can imbue your own stuff. Can even solo certain spawns.

Getting SA is well worth the money if you are going to play this game for any length of time.
