Advice/help with sampire

so i currently have a necro fencer with 120 fence, tact,ss,necro, medi 100 anatomy im considering changing her around to be a sampire. Do i need to be a swordsman or can fencing work? I do have gm swords on a stone i could switch over then work up to 120. Obviously gotta drop ss and medi to pick up chiv and bushi. Do i need magicresist and parry and at what skill lvls should i have them if i do? Any informations or ideas that could be helpful in my changing over process are much appreciated.

Hi, so, to disclose, I have only returned back to UO myself after 7 and a bit years away. However, sampires seem to be fairly consistent from when I left compared to now. Now, regarding fencing, it would absolutely work, for example, leafblade gives you AI and there are WW weapons. I think traditionally those go for swords because it has the highest output dmg. I have a fencer Sampire, but I just prefer swords because the damage seems to be more consistent and slightly higher with swords.

Bushido is a must for evasion and confidence, so I personally recommend making that 120. Now, the parry. From what I have found online and from what other players are using, it becomes convoluted. It appears that a lot are running with 60 parry; parry is needed for evasion to determine amount evaded.

Magicresists... I personally always run resists, but it has become an option to swap resists with anatomy. However, it would be based on play style and what you're actually doing at the moment. Anatomy will help with higher damage output.

I have several sampires, but the main two I have are basically the same with subtle differences and I don't see much of a difference.

My second Sampire runs with 120 Parry and 100 resits with 15 chiv on ring so I am at 80. I haven't noticed a difference between them. Ultimately, you want to remember that you heal based off of the damage output.

There are variations that will be used, but this is my experience/playstlye.

There is a "pure warrior" discount on mana cost for special moves if you have a combined weap/bush/parry skill of 200 (5 mana) or 300 (10 mana). This is the reason many run 60 parry. I haven't checked this lately, so just assuming it is still active.

I swap out anatomy for resist depending on what I am fighting.
