Advanced Token Opinions

Hi there,

A friend was kind enough to gift me with an advanced character token, and I would like to use it wisely. I'm seeking opinions on which templates are worthwhile to consider (other than tamer).

I have a particular interest - though not limited to - in crafting templates, as I'd like to open a shop to generate some dough. Plus, crafting's just interesting.

For the advanced character tokens - I would only use them for a template that covers skills that are harder to train. Some like magery and resist spells are relatively easy while others like Taming are much more difficult.

Before you get many answers, it might be good to let us know what template types you already have (if any).

Having restarted on Atlantic, I only have a gargoyle with Mysticism (+Focus) and Magery, and another gargoyle with Throwing and Chivalry.

I'm not much interested in a tamer, as I played one primarily on my old server and am a bit burnt on it. That's why I'm contemplating a crafting template.

After thinking on it, I may be leaning toward the Artificer template. I already have a legendary blacksmith on my old shard, which I can save up (with some RL difficulty) to get transferred to Atlantic. Seems like they would work well together. It's a thought!

IMO the only two templates that are worth buying a token for are Tamer and Bard. UO Gold came with AC Tokens, and I ended up using BOTH tokens I got from buying 2 copies on my Tamer/Bard, by using the tamer on the character, then using the token for bard on a different character on the same account, and juggling skills to the first one with soulstones. With equipment, and training, the character ended up being 6x120 (2 of the skills real 120) + over 100 magery, with the odd bard skill out on a soulstone where a soulstone use and a bracelet swap would make it 120 as well.
