Adding Archery to my Bard

Ok starting back in on the game after many years away. I have a pure bard with the following:

Music 115
Peace 115
Discord 120
Provo 115
Med 94ish
Eval 74ish

I was adding Eval back in to do a bit more damage with the spells. However, I was toying with the idea of dropping Med and adding in Archery. Now I know not having tactics and anatomy will hurt damage.

Would it be better to drop both med and EI for Archery and Tactics?

Magery and Eval are just fine until you fight higher level casters who just poof on your EVs even if they are discorded and peaces. Not sure they will do that to the arrows flying at their face. Anyway....advice?

If you're going to add archery, then add both archery and tactics, both for the damage and for the specials.

Keep in mind, though, good spellchannelling bows aren't easy to come by. On Atlantic, I can buy some pretty awesome bows for 3 to 10 mil. These same bows, with the spellchannelling property, would cost my first child.

Regardless, I'd suggest that you decide whether you want to be an archer or a mage. Either you're gonna have eval and no tactics, or tactics and no eval. Only gonna be damaging with either you bow or your spells. :-/

Although...say you stoned peace...you could have archer, tactics AND eval...that might be worthwhile, depending how attached you are to peace.

With a Spell Channeling, Mage Weapon you would not even need to add Archery.

For the higher level casters, use summoned elementals. They don't get dispelled as easy as EVs.
