I've spent almost 9 years in this damn game and I look back on it and can't believe I spent so much time doing this when I could have been doing any number of things, including spending more time with my family, going back to school (which I'm finally doing full-time now), learning a new skill .1 at a time in the real world, or just kicking back on the couch with da breedur remembering why you practiced so much to have babies in the first place.. *winks*

In short, I fully support you stepping away from UO. I have done the same myself and have decided to re-open the accounts one more time to consolidate and liquidate. I will probably keep one account to hold important things just in case EA makes a loud *POP* sound by removing their collective heads from their asses, but I won't wait around forever...

In any case, it was awesome to know you and Ghaz these past few years. I hope he is doing well and life is treating you both right. Hopefully we will meet up again in Darkfall or something where you two can be TRUE Orcs.

This is the biggest reason why I took down ^S^

I just don't have the time... I have been... for a long time now been a casual player. Sometimes you'll see me for days in and out for a few weeks... sometimes you wont see me at all for a few months.

Life comes first man... but my number 1 rule (and same rule for everyone close to me) is never sell your main account. Pack up the things, and deactivate is what you want rather than spending the 10-12 bucks a month on this game... (Hell, you know... I spent that much on lunch today at arby's? its really NBD) and to top it off... you won't ever regret making that decision.

You might regret any other decision... but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Just my ONE account honestly is worth between 3 and 5 grand... if you count the stuff on it and how unique they are and what they sell for individually.

No one would pay that of course... and I'd never sell it... even during a time, that people would have paid that, and actually tried to.


There's sooo many people we could have in this game who would add to our world with only a weekend here and there or a few weeks of fun every now and then. But ya know... for some people this addiction needs to be all or nothing... and I guess I can accept that even if I don't understand it.


So to sum up everything I said for the verbally impatient:

Don't sell off... take a break.

Trust me.

I do not know what to say really. I do feel a great loss to this shard if ya do leave for good.

I wish you would at least keep your Mo'gluk's yours, sell off ye things or homes keeps whatever if ye must, but ...........no one can play Mo'gluk but it's true real owner whom is YOU,..nor should they even attempt to *be you/your orc* and the "personality" behind those chrs.

A name change would just seem to make it worse, if one is to fade off into the sunset and never return, their character should remain with them..just my opinion for these are our/your creations. If you are intent to leave, take Mo'gluk orclord warboss with you, give him a fine orc exit ceremony, that only you could give him best, for his grand exit.......he Mo'gluk, surely deserves that much.

The decisions are yours alone, I think I would rather ya keep your characters as your own, sell off stuff if ye must or if ya feel that ye have to leave, but keep your chrs yours, or just take a nice calm break instead of leaving for good.

The man stated he's leaving because he has other more important things on his plate atm. I don't think Mo is the kind of person to let others get to him on the forums or ingame. He's leaving because RL needs him more. I too hate to see him go. He was my first gm on siege and i'll never forget ol smelly.

Tjalle (and everyone else stating the same thing) is right. During the years I've played UO I've grown tired of it many, many times. I have repeatedly let all my houses with all my stuff in them fall (to the IDOC-hunters delight) just to come back a few months later to several characters with only a few gold coins and dust in their bankboxes. At those times I'm really happy that I at least still have my characters left.
It takes a lot of time and patience to rebuild what once was.

Please think this over. Spend some more time with your wife and take care of your family. Work on your novel and everything else you have going on in your life, but dont sell your stuff. At least not for a while. There's no rush. I would be very sad to see such a big and important asset to this community get into the hands of someone who isn't the real Mo.

Mo' I can feel your pain on the time. Grot bought me Civ IV for Christmas and I think I've played it twice since he left with everything on my plate playing computer games is just not an option ATM but feel free to say hello ICQ when you see me on.
