Acting Troupes

Are there any acting troupes still out there? Used to be that every once in awhile a group would put on a play in-game. Is anyone aware of any groups that still do this?

The last one I saw was from the Golden Players in 2012 on Baja. I don't think there have been any large scale plays since then.

How many would still want to watch theatre in UO? I'm all in but haven't seen much interest.

Deal or No Deal used to put on A Christmas Carol
but that was before Norman Bates passed away.

I don't remember what year I watched that
but loved listening to it every Christmas since I saw it

I would be all for a play.

I would suggest that any play represented in game be fairly short, as you can only present so much action through emotes and peoples attention spans are short, but I think it would be a fantastic idea.

If you think about it, the EM program is like a play in which we are all participating. Except that nobody is writing or directing, most of the audience doesn't want to be in a play, and the actors keep burning out and running off-stage to be replaced by understudies who look and sound nothing like them.
