Acquiring Tokuno Dyes

I know that on all North American, Australian and European shards the Tokuno Dyes are currently unavailable. I also understand that the dyes are available on the Asian shards.


I am wondering if I can purchase the dyes on an Asian shard and transfer them here. How can I pay for them with US currency?

I play UO as my main hobby. I work two jobs and go to school at the same time. I feel it is worth my money to enhance my game and spend the money to get these items.

How would I go about doing this?

Is it the full set of dyes, or only selected colors? I figure I would have to get a transfer token and the dye token to move to Sonoma to have them.

IDOC'ers like Sarsmi normally have tons of these

Because alot of stuff like tok dyes, roses, AOS clothing, vet rewards tend to just take up space, you will likely be able to buy them off cheap (relatively) from IDOC'ers.

Psst, hot tip: Bargain for the partial ones! Chronic full-time IDOC'ers will let them go at an even lower price per charge compared to fully charged ones!

However, some of the Japanese players may be selling the tokens they bought on a vendor. If you do find one, then you need to buy 2 transfer tokens on your home shard, transfer a char with 50 mil (or more) over, buy the dyes (provided no one else had already bought them in the interim), then transfer back with your second transfer token. If you do this, you might want to look into buying some AOS dyed cloth and other souvenirs to sell back home. To at least offset your costs.

Too much work and uncertainty if you are looking for just dyes. Much better to from an IDOC'er on your home shard if that option is available.

We do have a fairly up-and-coming Japanese guild on our shard though, I wonder if I can work with them to purchase tokens thru EA.jp and sell to me ingame...hmm

Man is that the truth. I set up an AoS vendor and was selling clothing at 50k and roses at 15k. Sandals were cheap too, I forget what I priced them at. Of course after I managed to get rid of all that stuff a few weeks later I looted a trunk full of AoS stuff again, hah! That's good though, I actually ended up selling too many undyed sandals and realized I didn't save enough to pretty up my characters.

Small shard most dyes gone or wasted so a full set untouched is priceless
With gold running out of all the cracks around UO this also maybe too cheap

Repeat tip - Buy the partial ones!! You are going to use them anyway and once you use it, it's not going to be a pristine fully charged bottle of dye anymore.

Now, if they are sellable on Oceania at 100 mil, that's a way to make a 50 mil profit really quickly, minus the costs of 2 transfer tokens of course heh
