Acid Resistance Question (also Solen Slayer?)

Hi, returning player here. I have a question about Acid- is there any item that helps with acid resistance or defends against acid attacks? Any stats or skills that help? Also, are Solen covered under one of the general slayer categories are is there no slayer for these creatures? I can't seem to find a yes or no.

Haven't played since the late 90's so most of my knowledge is dated. Hopefully I picked the right place to ask this question! Thanks.

The solen's acid is direct damage, and thus no resists help mitigating it.
Maybe damage eater would heal you from that damage, but by the time it kicks in, you'd be already dead.

And there is no slayer for the solen's. Not that they are needed with the equipment you can wield nowadays.

Use a mage/caster against them. Use either a blade spirit(s) or an EV against them and stay outside of about 10-12 tiles, I think, and you won't be within range of their acid splash.

Much the same boat coming back and needing to learn stuff the hard way. Yeah that was an eye opener the first time my metal slinger went toe to toe with them. I'm dead???? That's impossible! lol Die and learn...

if you hit them hard and fast enough they die before the acid sac can rupture, which would save having to worry about standing in the pool.
but thats not 100%.

As soon as you see the acid, move a few tiles and finish it off when it moves.
