I can only assume that the paltry response to the 50% off sale has "overloaded" the account servers at EA. I've been trying to apply my codes for the High Seas expansion sale for 3 hrs now. No doubt you are affected by this too.....
For a company that makes most of its profits from "online" customers, EA is woefully inadequate in terms of "pre-thinking" server loads.
