Account Reactivation Question!!!

Hi, I've been gone a while and started back again - from scratch. I downloaded the [9th anniversary client?] from online and installed it and started a new account, new chars, etc.

I then learned you can reactivate old accounts. I did this as well. I logged in to see all the old characters there (less the house). However, the old characters cannot use the moongate to get to luna (or other new areas)....

How do I fix this? I'm not sure I want two accounts, and I'd like to take up where I left off on the old characters (had one that was at 90 smith and mining)...

If you just bought the 9th anniversary edition if i remember correctly it comes with a new account code and also with a code that can be used on older accounts to update them to the newer version, so you can try to use this code and update your older account. I believe that it comes with two codes or the games use to, but I could be totally wrong and if I am then I'm sorry, but I hope this helps some.

When you downloaded the 9th did you get any codes for upgrading with it? When you buy the game on the back of the manual are 2 codes, one for a new account and another for upgrading. You have to go to the acct page when you are logging in and go to upgrade acct and type in the code you are given.

Well, I already entered my payment info, and when I do this, they're wanting me to sign up to pay yet more money (including the monthly fee) for the SECOND account?!?! So, for two accounts, it seems like they want me to pay THREE monthly fees?

First of all relax!


You activated the new account, and have 30 free days on it. (+ the 14 free KR trial I think) So your credit card will not be charged until then.
Then you reactivated your old account, without a new code, so there you are paying the subscription allready.
Now, if you don't want the new account but only the old one, sadly, you will not be able to "redeem" the activation code, so this one is lost. Just write the account info down in case you sometime want a second account. Or maybe give it to a good friend to try out UO

As for the main account, you will have to login to the account management page on uo.com and enter a new code, to activate the ML content. If you purchased an american, boxed version, you should have another code, in addition to the one you used on the new account. If not, you will have to buy the code. Either the ML upgrade from uo.com (19.99 I think) or another 9th eddition code.

and don't forget once you have done all this when you are in game you need to click the help button and go to the bottom button the promotional code button and reenter the code you actvivated the account with. This will give you some extra items for doing so.

I did have to buy a new registration code. That worked. I was unaware of re-entering the promo code in-game. I'll have to try that. The funny thing was that when I logged with the old account I received a 3 year veteran's reward (always wanted an ethereal mount!)....

The FUNNY thing is that my account HAD five characters, now it's FOUR, my near-GM mage being no longer on the account? How'd that happen? At least with the LRC I won't have too much trouble training a new one, but that was weird...

I was also able to place a large house with patio last night near Luna. Of course, I have no way to mark a rune, but I will in a few days..

Are you 100% sure it should?
And what would I miss if it's just a bug?
I don't want to bother support, if the received items are not worth the effort.

EDIT: I think, I may just fugged it up myself. I may have remembered the wrong code

Will check again to confirm.

"+1 post count" as this is also used to indicate a very useless post where you just post +1 to say "just posting to increase postcount"?

it worked for me just yesterday when I upgraded my 2nd acct. Make sure you enter the code exactly including the hyphens. What I got was a personal attendant, a token for shadow items, and a blue icon for ice items. If they are worth it or not to you is of course up to you. I thought I would rather have had a heritage token in exchange for all of them.

Why does it matter? I'm not after post counts. I posted this question, this is a secondary question that came up and I was indicating that I, too, would like to know the answer and what items were available. I could care less about post count. Speaking of useless posts....
