i tried to reactivate an old account i had, so i went to the website entered the user name and password and it wouldn't let me log on, i opened that account a few years ago, and i had used my aol email account to register the account.since i changed isp two years ago that email is no longer active.

so i write a ticket to EA support given them all the details of the account and explain about the email address. a few days pass then i get a reply stating the name address zip code of the account dont match the details i gave them.

but i never changed the details nor did i change the password. so this explains why i couldn't reactivate the account.i emailed them back telling them this.that someone must have hacked it and changed them as i certainly didn't

and the reply from them was that they were closing the ticket end of story.

pretty lame dont ya think.

Do you still have the credit card info you used for that account? You might be able to call them and give them that info over the phone in order to get this account back. I don't think they'd take that info through email.

can you ask them the last time the account was active and if it's active currently? if they can tell you it's been inactive for a few years, then probably it wasn't hacked and customer service is just being their usual "helpful" selves.
