[Fishing] Accepting quests

When I accept a quest from a fishmonger he tells me neither the destination nor the quantity of fish. The only way to know is to accept the quest and go on a ship to read in the crate. Can be the only way?
If I look in the quest menu tells me the only place to go but not the types of fish. And above me said after accepting the quest.
Is it normal? I know before accepting the quest do I ask?

Yes, the only way to know your quantity of fish is to look inside your crate in your ship.
