where would the cavern of the discarded be?:d:
I got mine from these weird ratmen who live nearby to, to the south of, the Gargoyle Side entrance to the Abyss.
I have no idea how rare it is or what if any special use it may have beyond being used to sew clothes.
But I'm kind of hoping to sell it before people figure it out. Sure it's a risk, if it has some awesome use and is super-rare I could lose out, but I'm all about selling quickly.

Yes you can use it to make clothes. I only had two pieces but I made a skull cap with it.
Now I need to go get a lot more to make something I want to wear LOL
The Cavern of the Discarded is quite interesting. I was there last night on Lake Austin. Saw a few pieces of armor and weapons made by local crafters laying on the ground (e.g., a dagger, a valorite shield). Could be an interesting place to visit if someone is running a crafting script and dumping a lot of stuff in a trash barrel.

Agree. It's interesting. Some high value rares which suffered by dupe, are abandoned in garbage pile.
Anyway, I found a val enhanced boomerang and empty vial rack on the ground. Picked up of course. Is the Cavern really a graveyard of certain items?

The Cavern of the Discarded is in the Abyss, which you enter either through the Underworld (entrance is on the Isle of Fire in Trammel) or through the Tomb of Kings (in the Holy City in Ter Mur). Quest completion is generally required to enter the Abyss (you can also get in through Fel but can't walk out without completing a quest).
If you look at the map in the post at the link below that shows the right side of the Abyss, the Cavern is actually ALL of the area covered by locations O, P, and Q. When that map was marked last week while in beta, I thought the Cavern was an actual separate cave at location 5, but it turned out that it's not. It's three different but closely related spawn locations near where Sutek spawns and where is workshop is (area 6).

In Ter Mur there is a pair of blessed vine cord sandals locked down on a pillar, near a quest guy on the west side of the city. I admit I tried to pick them up *blush*.
Totally off topic but I've been getting some interesting reading material from doing the quests (books with different hues and wildly varying subject matter). This expansion has so much fun stuff to explore! I just love the neat "new stuff to do" feeling.

This is quite possibly the most "characterful" expansion. It really feels like the devs had a blast, putting feeling into what they were doing.Totally off topic but I've been getting some interesting reading material from doing the quests (books with different hues and wildly varying subject matter). Pretty sure I've gotten it off of each of the ratmen types (although none of a [renowkned]). I have never gotten anything off the lower spawn (clockwork scrorpions, wolves and rats)
