can armor still be made from them i have a good bit and was wondering if it was still possible to make the armor. if so what else do i need.

You can make armor from them (no other materials needed, just the Blacksmith skill), but they are MUCH better off donated to the Britain Library collection (animal trainer upstairs) for 20 points a scale.

there isnt anything special about the armor u make. no special attributes. the armor looks wicked awesome which is the reason why im interested in making it.

You can make it with runic hammers for additional properties too. It's possible to make some decent stat suits with a bronze or better hammer, if you want to make the suit for its looks, but be functional.

As a smith in heart you should know better than using scales for other things than smithing.

I have made an incredible beautiful all 70 resist suit in dragon scales ! !
Dyed with red rum.
And ofcourse it has some additional mods.
